Swaying Trees in The Wind, Rumbling Leaves, Relaxing Wind

Strong wind gusts blowing after the rain storm passed by, swaying the trees. This kind of wind gusts are not usual during the summer in these forests, but this year it happened a few times. For me the wind sound from the distance is very relaxing and sounds almost like ocean waves, but when you're in the middle of the forest and the trees are bending above your head it's quite scary.

As a kid there was a large tree in our yard near my bedroom window. This is the sound I fell asleep to when it was windy

The good old days in America. Sleep with the windows open and the keys were left in the car back in the early 80s when I was a kid. The only time our cars were stolen is when me and my brothers would go driving when the folks were asleep.

@@natureisneat9015 When I was a kid we had big oaks in the front yard near my double windows. My bed was next to those windows and I would lay there and feel the breeze rolling over my bed and the Spanish moss would sway shadows on my walls all night. OMG I miss my youth. 😭

I like cloudy or grey days, the sunlight is evenly spread across the sky, it’s cool, it’s more breathable from more water being on the air, it smells nice, there’s a possibility that it could rain, If it did rain, it’d smell nicer, And windier

Brings back fond memories of the farm I grew up on and those windy, rainy days sitting in the barn with the doors open and just watching the trees blowing and shaking in the wind. I sure do miss those days , was very calming for me. Loved it!

I love that feeling 😌 I mostly do the same thing when its windy, rainy, and a bit dark I go outside and stand above the roof or I sit and sometimes I walk to one school that is near me because they have a big roof so you just can stand there and wach the rain and wind

That sounds wonderful. I do wish I had that experience. Remembered sitting down by the door at my house I think and did the same thing. Watching the rain drip onto the wet surface of the puddles covering my porch and sidewalk. Listening to ever drop crashing down whilst the wind blowing through the trees over me. The must of the showers washing my face, with every cold spray. Inner peace.

This was just what I was looking for, realistic nature sounds other than rain. I love rain, but so many times it's just a loop and so constant in it's sound that it becomes annoying to me. This recording has a natural ebb and flow and I love that.

this is actually soothing, and yes, it calms the nerves. hearing the gusts of wind, and trees swaying somehow gives me a sense of nostalgia. it would be nice to take a nap under those trees, but only after the threat of storm has passed.

Finally! Found a channel that offers just the sound of wind! I can just lay here and imagine the wind is blowing on my face, through my hair,on my body. My favourite sounds! Am somewhat handicapped so do not get outside much anymore, only wish is was more like 10 or more hours longer though so it could lullaby me to sleep longer.

You know i really love that so many people feel the same warm good feelings about sounds like these or rain falling down or whatever. I always imagine its our deepest instinct that make us feel this way cause after all without the technology and society we built for thousands of years at the end of the day we are still animals like all others. This sound reminds me of one my favorite Lake District Youth Hostels in the UK - Borrowdale. I have taken my sons there many times. It stands in a wooded area at the end of a valley, by a river. It's often windy there and this sound is wonderfully evocative - both invigorating and calming at the same time.

Ohh as soon as it started playing and i heard that wind and seen that tree and those leaves swaying and dipping, i got this pleasant electric like feeling well right in my middle. Things like this always do that, thunderstorms also ^_^

An easy mistake to make. However,the birch has much smaller leaves and the bark of the common birch is silvery rather than white. The bark of the mature tree has many large rough crusty black scars, readily visible to the naked eye from a moderate distancce.

@@feralbluee Hi Alexa, yes, you are right, it does peel, which incidentally ignites very easily with a flint and steel, making it valued as a campfire initiator among the backpacking fraternity and bush crofters.The tree in the videos which has provoked this discussion does have a characteristic birchy randomness in the way its branches have formed and seems to have the typical blackish scars and scab-like excrescences on its bark,but as far as can be seen the others grow straight so may well be aspens. Whichever they are their windsong is the perfect prelude to sleep and is just as good to wake to in the night and make one appreciate comfort, warmth, and the nearness of those we love, be they our soul mate or companion pets. This video captures the sound of wind almost exactly! Attempts by other Tubers end up sounding like ocean waves or worse yet, bacon frying. Most Excellent!!! Thank you so much for posting this video! I really needed to see and listen to the wind in the trees today. I put in my noise-cancelling AirPods, closed my blackout shades, lit my fireplace crackling candle, and placed a few drops of pine essential oil on my pillow. Wow, what a great nap!
