First heard "Everlasting Bass" on KDAY... and had it on a Roadium mixtape with so many other great songs of the time. When I tell you "Everlasting Bass" is in my top 5 West Coast songs, believe it. As soon as I heard "Like That" it took me back to Rodney O. & Joe Cooley. I never knew Joe Cooley was from Compton either. I always thought L.A. It's good to see a West Coast pioneer still with us. 💪🏾 He was definitely being played in Detroit.💯

The Late Great DJ Cameron Paul broke Rodney O and Joe Cooley in the Bay Area back in the day. He used to mix a lot of their jams in his mixes on record/radio and in the clubs. Rodney O and Joe Cooley were huge in the Bay Area. Cameron Paul was my first introduction to these guys.
