They have been my idols since 1994 :) I got a kassett tape from my brother and started to collect everything I could find with them. I now have jiggsaw puzzles, records, magazines etc and I even got to meet the brothers in 1999 and I have the meetup on film!

I'm Swedish and I was ten years old at the time, THE biggest Eurovision moment of my life when they won it! It was so big!!! Today when we have seven victories it is not so huge but this was just our second after ABBA.

Fun Story: When I was in middleschool we had a talent competion at my school. Me and 2 friends got the clothes, sprayed some shoes golden and did a cover performance of Diggiloo diggiley xD. It wasn't very good but it was quite fun! We did the choreography as well and I still know the chorus part by heart.

It's like you said, sooo cheesy but so much fun and pure happiness! The lyrics is about walking around in your golden boots and everything is wonderful and fantastic and you wish that everyone had golden boots!

Very nice and sweet song, catchy tune. Their voices are quite masculine, they do not use falsetto and are able to reach some high pitches however. Personally the thing I do not like is the camera filming, it is not showcasing correctly the choreography (quite George Michael / Wham! style with the white pants), it is a pity because it was pretty cool! In any case this song is part of the fan favourites among the winners and I understand why, I love it too because it is fresh and nice.

Silly song title, but very catchy and with a fun coreography to go along with it.

This was the year I was born - and I’m Swedish! It was a good year. ;) And you’re correct, it IS a genuinely positive song. They’re singing about how everything is going their way. The chorus literally translates like this: Diggiloo Diggiley, everyone is looking at me while I’m walking in my gold shoes, I danced down the street and the whole world smiled, diggiloo diggiley, Heaven opened up, one could hardly believe ones eyes, and I almost started floating in my golden shoes. There is an English version of the song, but it’s a bit different due to lyrical rhythm. Still, a genuinely cheesy feel good tune. :)
