I understand G's rant around the 30 minute mark completely. Those people, despite all appearances, just aren't nerds. They're attention seekers signalling to their own kind, using established nerd franchises and paraphernalia to do so. "Teehee us Nerds am I right?" it's the same reason people used to get mad at The Big Bang Theory. It's completely superficial, and anyone who genuinely likes their hobbies, enough to study up on various disparate topics purely to authenticate and refine their passion, can see and smell it on them. That's why she got so mad about them not handling the PLASMA beams correctly. Because at the end of the day they just don't care about that, or, ultimately, the franchise itself. They're surface level posers with nothing worthwhile to contribute and that's worth getting angry about when they begin invading spaces and opening their dumb mouths.

I agree, but have to ask: why are they treating laser weapons, designed to be wielded with extreme caution, as if they where medieval counterparts? The postures, the handling, EVERYTHING is medieval fantasy inspired - well intentioned, but misguided. I'm with Lady Gravemaster, if you gonna do it, do it right! (I'm a medieval reenactor and HEMA student, currenty polishing my archery skills)

Fun fact about grenades. The M67 (US) is not only shaped like a baseball to be familiar to young men, it also has a 4-5 second fuse delay. Not 4 not 5. Either-or, perhaps somewhere in-between. Thanks to uncle sam always choosing the lowest bidder. Edit: Based Lady Gravemaster mentioned the delay. It was 3-5 seconds when I first joined, then a few (possibly more) years back they changed it to 4-5 seconds.

Spicy fox has covered this. The modern audience is everyone. Us included. They are doing this as prep for the future. Because they believe that if they push this crap long enough, and hard enough, and make it so you can't escape it, make it everywhere, you will have no choice any longer. This is why they are buying up all these different companies. If they control everything, you have no choice but to consume whatever they produce, regardless of quality or content. If you grow up with content like this as the only thing you see or know, you'll never know how crap it actually is. It is pure control. That is the name of the game.

I feel a bit bad for the original creator of Zau. He made the game as a way to promote his Kenyan heritage (as a Nigerian, i can appreciate) but his big mistakes were getting involved with SBI and their tozic identity politics. Je also should have done better marketing or released it at a less politically charged time.

@@gjtrue Yes, there will be victims in all this, but on the other hand you can mainly avoid it by making your game/book/etc. as non-political as it should be (if it has no point of being political). Usually it's easy to spot is creators are trying to just create create product or if they litter trendy key words everywhere trying to appeal "modern audience".

He made it to honor his dad His problem was pulling race card for the game not doing well I saw the game it looked fine, but it is a genre not popular.. and sbi I can see maybe they needed funding to complete the game (gov funding) but defending sbi and attacking people and playing victim is why it failed. It also did t even seem they targeted players maybe in Africa etc.. but trying to force white people to play out of guilt which was a bad marketing idea. Sucks for the studio tho. They only made it. Had no say and no they suffer

Intellectual property should not be respected, but the stupid law defending it should be feared. Eman should have taken more steps to ensure his anonimity. Running a public patreon when you're in the business of piracy is just plain careless. Hopefully, this will end quickly for the poor guy and set a favourable precedent.

The problem is even if you are 100% in the right and have broken no laws they can outspend you and drag the case till you fail. One of the first cases in warhammers 3d modelling war was an ork based of world of warcraft. They claimed that infringed on their rights because the creator listed that it could be used as a substitute model in 40k. If anyone should have been able to sue him it should have been Activision blizzard but warhammer won by throwing money at the case until the modeller went broke and unlike Eguy he didn't get a loan arrangement to continue the case.

The legal process being the punishment really should be nullified by a simple automatic requirement that the entity that forces the issue without merit, &/or obvious maliciousness is required to pay the legal fees(as well as incurred interest)of the defendant. If any company or IP holder wants to waste time & money, let them do it on their dime.

Arch can count himself lucky that he isn't in the EU. Sweden have allot of problem with maybe not porch pirating as we don't get our packages delivered in the open but theft of thins in your garden happens allot. Mostly my people coming in from eastern Europe to steal a bunch of things and then bring home. Games Workshop is terrible, I can't endorse it because that would be illegal but I almost would want people to start harassing GW higher up the same way they are harassing customers and fans.

The hot girl in the movie. I think the 1980's is the best teen movie era. Weird Science, Bueller, Back to the Future, Karate Kid, Breakfast Club etc The 90's had the best 'rebel against the system' stuff like Office Space, The Matrix, Fight Club etc.

Couple of observations: Circa 1 hour 17 mins: The Bechdel test was NOT really intended as a joke.. or at least not as satire. Alison Bechdel is an identitarian lesbian comic book artist, who wrote an independent comic targeted at her identity group sometime in (I think?) the 70s-80s. She was absolutely serious about the suggestion... but of course it was also just her highly uninformed opinion. The problems with the test are frankly blatantly obvious, & always were - among other things, every heteronormative romantic comedy ever made fails... yet at the same time the primary demographic for such movies is women 1 hour 39 mins: Xbox inclusive design: OK, that pic is actually valid. I can understand how someone uninformed about software development / GUI design could interpret it as just more woke nonsense, but if you take a second look you'll notice the left-most column are all ways in which someone would interact with an application, either to receive information or provide input. if you only have 1 arm available, for whatever reason... you are obviously impaired to do things that require 2 arms. Ditto if you are unable to hear things clearly or at all, ditto if you can't see clearly or at all. The speech category is for voice recognition; & yes having a heavy accent relative to what was used to calibrate a speech recognition system will impair your ability to use said system. Modern software developers SHOULD take these kinds of things into account, so that as many users as possible are able to use the system. Not to be woke, but to make a better product that can actually be used by more people. All that in context, the only really woke/progressive politics nonsense in that picture are the word 'inclusive' (b/c dog whistle), and the stupid viking stick-figure

That is... preposterous. People drive cars but don't know how to make them! We use kitchen appliances, wear clothes and shoes, and don't necessarily craft these things. But sure as heck can learn how to use items properly - and truth be told far too many people don't drive cars with minimal safety, for instance. At the very least, if you're going to reproduce characters and behaviour from an IP, do it according to the worldbuilding associated to it. Lady G indeed made a bad comparison, they shouldn't be using Navy references, but the ones George Lucas and Gendy Tartakovsky (to name a few) showed us: lightsabers retracted, obviously never touching shoulders and limbs, handled with extreme caution (and grace) at distance from the body since they are LASERS, after all... * I rewatched and suspect the people on the video are neurodivergent (autistic? on the spectrum?), so I'll cut some slack.
