Games journalists are corporate scum at this point. The industry was subverted decades ago and now are an opposing force to all gamers, as they exist purely to serve the companies and the PR firms that pay their bills. There are so few left, as it is for journalism in general, that we can safely assume they are not our allies in preserving the quality of games through honest criticism, which should be their only reason for existing.A society that removes criticism from the dialogue is a key sign of a sick society.

You can still get towers with drive cages for disc drives. I was gonna have an inbuilt disc drive on my rig, but the sheer size of my AIO cooling system made me have to remove the cages to fit it into my tower.

The actual frustrating thing is the conflation of general options - difficulty sliders, pause features, et cetera - with all of this safetyism "accessibility" language. There's nothing wrong with wanting some option or another in a game, but it's pure cowardice to have couch your own opinion as a defense for someone with some kind of "disability" or another. Blech.

To Razorfist's point about scalped games, while I agree nobody should be paying these ridiculous prices, that ignores the reality of many of these games. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Cubivores, the Xenosaga Trilogy, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Burning Rangers and Wild Arms 4 and 5 are currently unavailable on modern platforms. They were never re-released digitally, and remain on their native hardware, and because they're out-of-print, they now sell for hundreds. I WOULD buy Path of Radiance on Switch, if it were actually ON the Switch, and not still stuck on Gamecube, like its sequel Radiant Dawn is stuck on Wii. Also, neither sold anywhere near a million, don't know who told that lie. Fire Emblem didn't sell well outside of Japan until Awakening, which is why we never got the remake for Fire Emblem 3 outside Japan. I WOULD buy Xenosaga trilogy on modern platforms, if Bandai Namco actually released those games in Europe, or made them available in a HD collection or bothered re-releasing them at all after the PS2. I'd even consider the DS demakes if they weren't Japan-only, which is a deathnail for a dialogue-heavy RPG like that. I WOULD buy Panzer Dragoon Saga and Burning Rangers on modern platforms if SEGA ever re-released them. Not only have they not done that, but Saturn Emulation is notoriously finicky, so they have that going against them too. I don't want a remake either, since I never got a chance to actually experience the originals and decide for myself whether they NEEDED one (and also, I don't want Burning Rangers to lose its 90's sci-fi anime charm, which was half of the reason I was drawn to it in the first place). I WOULD buy Cubivores if it were actually released in Europe. Not only that, but even American copies go for thousands. And yes, I'm aware emulating these games for free on PC fixes most of these problems (provided they actually emulate well enough), but that's beside the point. If I want to play these games legitimately, I can't, because they're unavailable on modern platforms and cost a fortune otherwise.

My fingers are shaped like crinkle fries due to Rheumatoid Arthritis. I'm only 42. It means that, due to limited mobility of my fingers, I can't play games like Elden Ring. I just don't have the dexterity to stretch my hand to hit all the buttons as quick as Elden Ring requires. You know what my solution is? I just don't play Elden Ring. There's always going to be games that don't fit your abilities to play. It doesn't mean you have to dumb down games so you can play it. There's plenty of games I CAN play that I'm able to enjoy. I don't need devs to make their difficult games run on easy mode to stroke my ego.

I have seen how People play Elden Ring with a Harp, Bongos or my favorite, Bananas. I have seen how People play Shooter with 1 Hand and this hand had only 2 Fingers. I was playing a brand new game not online but... my 2 year old was playing near by next to me he's been showing me he can do his abcs I seen it 100 times and I'll see it 100more times I put down the controller while and gave him my full attention till he was done these moments don't last forever wouldn't trade it for anything and if it was online sorry 😅 I would stop the online game but also I wouldn't play a game online knowing I have a child with me

I'll say it again, the only "bility" you child presents is RESPONSABILITY. Gaming is your leisure, what you do when you have free time. Raising your kid is the commitment you CHOSE when you put a human being into this world and kept them. I apply this principle to my CATS, and they are not even human, or that dependable of me.

panzer dragoon orta was on the xbox, i have it, its fantastic but pretty difficult towards the latter half... thats not the really rare one though, panzer dragoon zwei and especially saga on the sega saturn are i think.. there is NO panzer dragoon game on the dreamcast as far as i know.. 3 on saturn, one on game gear, and one on xbox but its backwards compatible on 360 and i think xbone

Making illicit content of 17 year olds is illegal, not because there is some massive physiological difference between 17 and 18 year olds, but rather because we want to give developing young minds an opportunity to grow their front brain before doing highly risky/potentially exploitative things. Therefore the people that should be gone after are the various casting/productions people that should have done their due diligence, if the statute of limitations applies. Going after third party retailers or customers is crazy. You couldn't tell the difference between a 17 and 18 year old just by looking.

45:08 unironically, for tf2. it done out of spite. tf2 don't have cheating industry like CS. it like five or four bot hosters in their basement hosting like 100 cheating bot each(it super easy to do). they do it because of Valve neglect and know nothing will happen, it been issue for like 6-8 years now. estimation say we got around 1k aimbots accounts(over 90% got banned as bot hoster main account but it easy to make accounts back) so Valve doing their actual job will solve it so easy. this is not CS those bots are so blatant. the bot hoster are losers, they don't even make money by doing it, it just pure spite. Valve should keep doing the treadmill work especially for a game that estimation say it make 20-15$ million per year for a 17 years old game with NO REAL UPDATES. just loot boxs microtransactions updates with all the content are made by the community. And no one in Valve work on tf2 because they're bad at management. Just one Valve employee and linux contractor work on tf2, the game need for more and not just two guys.

Just curious about this default 'marketing is double the budget' we keep hearing - why wouldn't marketing be a reasonably fixed figure? Or at least have a cap on it at 200m or something - suspect people are mixing up marketing with the cinemas taking half the box office.

@@samuel5591Depends on the marketing campaign. Madame Web, for whatever reason, had a small helicopter built and brand tie ins in other countries. Looking into what they actually do to promote movies really puts into perspective how the marketing budget gets out of hand. Most people don't think about it but all the ads and custom commercials, brand deals and general marketing stunts that we see happen before a movie comes out really does make you think and wonder just how much they spend on marketing and why a lot of it feels like a waste

The PS2 was out by the year 2000. Whilst we played games at that time we all considered games from 1980 "retro". That isn't as long as 2024 to the year 2000. I know, it hurts me too, but we aren't the young generation anymore xD

Craig put it in a nice way not too long ago about how people hve their blindspots and Razor, just like the eest if the panel, has plenty of them. Let's not pretend that being a douche canoe isn't who Razor is because its true. I'm also not gonna pretend he isn't well informed on many topics he's interested in but just blows hot air when its things he's not interested in. He fits the bill for an edge lird contrarian. "Jealous" is the only debatable topic there

Every time I watch this these people get more than half of the facts wrong, DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE RECORDING THESE FFS. There aren't any Nintendo achievements, those unlockable items are unlocked for simply playing the game once, you don't have to actually do anything special, some games have been this while for a LOOOOOONG time.

Uh, Razor. Henry Cavill almost missed his casting for Superman because he was raiding in WOW. Thats as big of a nerd as any in my book. Im not into pen and paper or tabletop games, but thats cool to me. You give off a aura of douchery, sometimes. A few weeks ago you claimed Elden Ring was pumped out from an assembly line just like any other souls game, during one of your streams. I dont even like Elden Ring but I can see how much love and time went into it. Even if I only beat 1 boss and just wander around lost.

Razor's ego is out of bounds these days. He blocked me on Twitter for defending him from a troll, but I guess because I admitted he has taken down a badly aged political prediction stream, he blocked me too. Don't ever give money to KZfaqrs. Anyway Henry could be legit. Many stories that can be faked, but when Netflix show runners say they got rid of him for being a nerd .... Might be legit.

Razor has a habit of making a statement based on absolutely nothing, bad information, and/or lack of information. He will conclude his assumptions are correct, put his fingers in his ears when criticized, and tell everyone else that they are wrong. Many channels I watch that are adjacent to Razor will have people sending superchats asking for the streamer to ask Razor to unblock them. It's petty and borderline leftist levels of unwillingness to listen to criticism. I like Razor, but yeah. He's a douche.

There are actually gamers out there DEFENDING the high prices of old retro games. They claim it's demand but what demand? If people wanted to play an old Pokemon game they would play it on a emulator.
