At an event at the Neptune Theatre in Seattle, Krist Novoselic of Nirvana and Duff McKagan play Guns n Roses "Sweet Child O' Mine" using an accordion. Perfection ensues.
Event was for Duff's new book "How to be a Man"

If i'm right, it seems Slash practiced the opening riff to warm up but always hated that riff. It's Axl who wanted to put this in the intro of Sweet Child.

+romu7999 yeah it was string skipping exercise and slash was messing around and thought it sounded like a circus song and then Axl heard it and he ended up persuading them into making it a song, also when they were making the song they had finished the main part of the song and Axl asked "where do we go now?"(referring to the song) which is where the outro lyrics came from

2 bass players that made the History of rock with their bands..But in the beginning Axl loved Nirvana and their music, he wanted them as supporters in Gnr world tour but Kurt didn't like Axl/guns n roses and what they rapresented at that time (maybe) so..we know how mad Axl was (is) , He couldn't accept it...so they started to hate each other..

JBest0 did Axl even hear of Nirvana until 1991(?) - I highly doubt it - he wasn't out scouting little indie bands - when they got big he wanted them on the bill to increase ticket sales and give him "cred" - he had to know that all the hair metal bands might as well been playing polka music in 1991 - they sounded that passe and dated by that point....

hellomcflyy In 1991 Axl know Nirvana well...He wore the NIRVANA cap during the shoting (and the making of DON'T CRY VIDEO-1991 and some interviews. He also asked them to play for his 30th birthady (in 92) ...But Kurt dislike him and GNR and they start to talk trash during interviews and concert...I've read it in some bios of GNR.
