Best gardening videos that I've watched. Most have too much chatter and/or music and not enough info. Yours only has gardening and nature as background sound. Now that is music to my ears. And your info is to the point. Thank you from south MS

Matter of fact, I got some that I bouled on the stove while ago. Fixing to go eat me a few more ears!! LOL... I done ate about 10 ears today alone! Haha!!

Got just about all my corn picked. Still got a few ears left on the stalks but not many at all. Been eatin corn and potatoes like crazy! And I really can't believe how delicious everything is! I don't know if it's because me and my tractor done it or what the deal is. But everything is Great! Will for sure be planting another Spring garden next year... Noticed that most of the corn had big green worms in it and looked like "brown sugar". Why?? I just cut the worms and "bad stuff" out though.

I enjoy all your videos, I do have a problem that maybe you can help with. I live in north east Texas and I planted my corn and it's about the same height as yours is in this video. We had some strong winds along with a good bit of rain and it blew all my corn over flat. Will it stand back up on its own or should I till it under and start over?

Donald, I love your videos. I have a question. I planted 4 rows of corn, and they have grown up to become pretty healthy. The problem I have is, I live in a very windy area. People grow huge amounts of corn all around me, but my little section just gets killed by the wind. Wind whips it around so much that it starts to expose the roots, or it just lays it down completely. Do you have any suggestions on how to prevent this? I think some people grow so much corn that it creates a natural barrier.

@woodlandcammo27 ... yes you can use 13-13-13 but just be careful and not use too much...... Donald

Looking good Donald. Im wondering will that fertilizer work well for all garden plants? Our garden is just planted 2 weeks ago and we did not bring in any mixed soil so Im thinking I should fertilize it soon.? What would you recommend for basically starts ranging from not sprouted yet to corn about a foot tall. Thanks for another great video.

Thanks so much for your videos! I really enjoy them a lot...My garden did real well last year and I have found that keeping the cows out of the garden helps it do even better LOL! But any way got a Quick question- Are you broadcasting the fertilizer over the corn plants? If so how does it not burn them? I am not criticizing you or anything cause you do a great job and know what you are doing. Just wondering thanks! God Bless from South Carolina. -Steven-

@webcajun Thanks for the quick reply... Ok got a small question (and probably many more to come..lol...) Besides G-90, what other varieties of corn are pretty much 'guaranteed' to grow here in South LA ?
@webcajun14 жыл бұрын
@acsdata ... corn being blown over in the home garden happens all the time. In fact if the wind is strong enough it gets blown over in large fields too. It will usually survive and come back in a few days. I don't know of any way of preventing that, sorry...... Donald
@webcajun14 жыл бұрын

Ok, I got the corn and potatoes cultivated today. Tomorrow I plan on hilling both crops. My question is, should I side dress all of it with a little 13-13-13 fertilizer before I bring the dirt up to the stalks/plants with the row hippers? The corn is about 1.5 to 2 ft. tall, as well as the potato plants...Thanks. Oh.... the cultivators will sure let you know how straight the rows are and how straight you planted!! (I lost some corn stalks.)
@rdlamascus10 жыл бұрын
Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge. In this particular video, were you broadcast spreading the fertilizer? Am also curious about why you chose not to use a Covington side dresser (TP-6A). I have the TP-46 Planter and noticed that you have one too as seen in one of your other videos. Rick - Tennessee

Here in Kansas it keeps raining and raining and raining. Thankfully I have a sandy , well draining soil. The cucumbers just love this rain. My jalepenos are looking pathetic. We had one night of torential downpours and some pea sized hail. That really beat up all my peppers but the toamtoes made it through like champions. Luckily a 1/4 of my vegetables and herbs are in containers so I moved them under a large overhang by the shed. Does anyopne know if I can use 13-13-13 on any of my vegetables?
