Albert sounds as American as apple pie when he sings but he’s really a very quiet, soft spoken Brit. He’s pure genius.

They roll! The Swedes show us how it's done. Very good live band, the drummer plays New Orleans style very well, Johan Blom at the piano is a class of it's own, - the whole band knows how to roll. Good band chemistry.

Only started listening to this band a week ago soley by accident and can,t get enough of them. Grew up listening and dancing to all the old rock n roll greats, not the crap they pass off as rock now. One of the best boogie woogie piano players ever.

Wooooow, just the best!!!!! Albert is definitely one of the greatest guitar players ever. Certainly up there with Keith Richards. Absolutely love this song

Keith Richards couldn't even begin to understand what Albert is playing, or how he does it. They're not even at the same level.

I hope this is a joke haha props to Keith for his songwriting but very few people are on the same level as Albert
@freebeing08584 жыл бұрын
I love Keith as a creator of memorable riffs, but as a lead guitarist Keith and Albert Lee are not even in the same universe! As a lead guitarist Keith's repertoire extends only so far as recycled Chuck Berry licks and not particularly expertly in truth. Albert on the other hand is a brilliantly innovative picker, who among other accolades was voted 5 times in succession best Country Guitarist by Guitar Magazine. A legendary guitarist on an entirely different plane to Keef!

What ya gotta understand is there are many good axe men around and to lots of guys they sound great and probably are .But Albert is a guitarists , guitarist.He has been playing since ( I am pretty sure ) 1958 .He could play great piano before he picked up a guitar .I used to walk round to his house in 59 and near every time I went in he was practising guitar.At one point his Dad ( he played piano ),got a bit fed up one day with Albert blasting away on the Amp that he turned off the power to the whole house .That did not stop Al .He just kept on playing .He is one on his own .

It seems that the rock and roll of the era that brought this kind of music suffered some from the fact that the guitars had taken over, and having a piano player in the mix usually got left out. Just exactly how much the Johan piano adds to this group is downright amazing -- I'm reminded of the line in "Down the Road a Piece" about "delivering those 8 beats to you like an old steam drill." Given a bit of guitar solo time, Lee is also downright amazing, as usual. This was the second piece of the night with Lee as guest artist, and I think the first piece ("I'm Ready") made it clear that these folks played together with incredible synergy, and by the time they got to this piece, every one was really up, up, up. That shows up in Lee's vocal as well as his guitar -- for Lee, this really is an inspired vocal as well as well as his usual inspired guitar. Really great stuff, IMO
