Tried this twice and both times it had a sweet potato pie texure vs a cake texture. I compared other recipes and most recipes call for 2 tablespoons of milk or half n half..but yours calls for 1 cup. Please give me some pointers. Overall the flavor is amazing!

You have to mix the ingredients really well i.e in the beginning she says the dry and wet ingredients only need to be mixed until creamy, but it takes about 5 mins of mixing for that texture.

Hey girl, hey! I just baked this cake and it’s BEAUTIFUL! I know it tastes good because I made 2 tester cupcakes! The baby food is the greatest idea and best time saver. I know you won’t get to my question in time, but I’m wondering if I need to refrigerate it since I added the marshmallow-cream cheese frosting. Let me know. It’s a great idea to use baby food, in your other video when you puréed the sweet potatoes, I was thinking that sounds like baby food. Thanks for the video I will be trying this recipe for Thanksgiving, Hope my family enjoys it.

Yess! U can def. use fresh ones but I really can’t tell the difference in baked goods like this.
