@@jenamann3484 "Zero-scape"...lol. We have a lot of that out west ! It has a role--but can be overdone. I put in a newer low maintenance, drought-tolerant groundcover in an area called New Kurapia via plugs early last March...

I will have to check it out! I'm Canadian and was in Florida when Covid hit. We had to leave and haven't been able to get back there, BUT it looks like I will be back this winter!!!!!!!! I couldn't be more excited! I'm going to try to pick up some plants from you when I'm there.

Jim is BACK!!! I love it. I don't know what things are like down there in Florida, but up here in Canada the price of lettuce is THROUGH THE ROOF. I'm talking $15 for Romain lettuce and $5 for iceberg. I'm about to start growing it in my house.

You should! Lettuce is pretty fast growing and easy. I love growing sprouts and microgreens. Nutrient density in small spaces.

Omg, my mom fed 3 kids on almost no money on sweet potato leaves and sweet potatoes. And she only had a couple tiny rectangles at the edge of a parking lot for her patch. Asian markets sell bundles of sweet potato leaves, because for a few billion people, they are better than spinach - taste better, cook better, more nutritious, last better.

Just like the cooked Chaya plant that Pete also sells ! Toss in some moringa leaves & blooms and you will be as healthy as any one on the planet 😁😁🤗

Trying to learn from his techniques. Despite tons of mature composted mulch I was not able to grow anything to maturity. Lettuce bolted and was bitter, and potatoes all got blight. Not giving up but he makes it look easier than it is that's for damn sure lol.

Of course, we love seeing Jim!! Amazing what he is doing! Question, is there an alternate cover crop Jim could use other than the sweet potato that would like the richer soil? Maybe 90 day peanuts or beets or ?????? I know he wants to keep weeds down, enrich the soil and maybe get some crop as well. Thanks!!

The most satisfying part is actually seeing the sweet potatoes coming out of the ground!! This was only a sweet potato vine roundup, We need the actual food round up not the vine round up Pete!!!

QUESTION!?!?!?! With planting so close to the house do you worry about the structural of the house foundation as the sweet potatoes loosen the ground and make air gaps?

The Round Up is mainly about pulling the vines up to help Jim harvest. We have a market video coming soon, which Jim talks about the harvest and shows them.

It would be fun, but how could we help all the others with plant sales, consults, and installs? Market gardening is just one part, the food forest are the low maintenance sustainable food systems, even those who are disabled can enjoy and benefit from, in many cases. But yeah, it would be great!
