This is great! I am trying to sprout the tiny leftover sweet potatoes from my fall harvest as well. (Also Beauregard) How long did it take until you saw sprouts. Also, did you keep them in light or dark? I've seen conflicting advice...

Hi there! So glad you found this helpful! The sprouts appeared within a week or 2 and are currently still continuing to produce more. I keep them in the light on our kitchen window sill - they look so pretty there 🥰 🌿🩷 Rochelle

Hello, some videos show that the potato sprouts and grows 15 cm in 4.5 days. Are these fake videos? I put it in water to germinate 15 days ago but still no root or sprout. Where am I doing wrong?

Hi there! Personally, I am unaware of these claims and it certainly sounds a bit far fetched in my opinion. I can't say for sure these videos are fake but I do know there are a lot of fake "hack" videos related to gardening. For your sweet potato, have you tried burying it halfway in seed starting mix? That's what I do. After a few weeks, little sprouts with grow. Once a sprout reaches 6 inches or so, I carefully snip it off with scissors and place it in water to root.
