It was summer of '68. I was stationed at a SAC base in Kadena, Okinawa. They were going to put on a USO talent night show at one of the clubs. The place was packed with officers, enlisted, and civilians. Dylan's album hadn't been out very long, but one song really grabbed me. We had a steel guitar player on stage with me and a big old master sarge on stand up bace. The sound system was as near perfect as possible. The song I had chosen to sing was "I'll be Your Baby Tonight". I was a hit and was proud to be part of this event.

She growls, she coos, she twists, she hits the high notes, she does a great song justice.

Holy Moley, ain't they got a presence or what? I remember them from the mid-80s. So glad to see them so well preserved still.

Love you, ladies! I used to listen with delight as you played at the American Martyr's carnival for several years running ... speaking of me growing up in Manhattan Beach in the early 70s. : ) So happy to have found this video. Your music makes me smile and fills my heart. Thank you!!!

They never got the recognition they deserved - Judy Rodman does a great version of this song - bet it would be amazing to hear the 3 of them on it...

You’re right!! Judy Rodman does do a terrific version of this. I played it when I was a country DJ on a TINY (and I do mean tiny) radio station in southern New Jersey in the late 80’s, but I must be going senile, because I mistakenly thought just now that the singer was Kathy Mattea!! I must have been thinking of another song Kathy Mattea did back then!!

I read on another video "Midnight Girl in a Sunset Town" that Janis caught Vince in bed with Marty Sruart. Vince saved his career by marrying Amy Grant

I won't judge and see if you remember the Wasson Class of 77 in Colorado Springs in the woods in thEsE mountains becAUSE I do love Pure Prairie League in 1976.I love Vince Gll an all of his family. My cousin is Ricky Skaggs. I am related to the Whites too. I dont like to make excuses and i cant type tonight but i THINK I kissed John Mellencamp in Bedford Indiana when I was 14. I'm old but I love Jane Pauley being a Hoosier and her husband doing Doonesbury and I am so loving all that but if Mister John wants a date with me I will be there. I WAS BORN IN A SMALL TOWN-NOT -FORT HOOD AND HELLALL WHEELS BUT DADDY IS FROM MITCHELL AN MOM WAS A PROM QUEEN FROM SHAWSWICK OFF PUMPHOUSE ROAD. Hoosier kid except for Texas and Colorado.

Bob Dylan may have influenced them, but they sing better than he does!! They’re better-looking too, of course….I think I’m getting senile though..I misidentified Judy Rodman’s version of this song as being by Kathy Mattea!! Senility sucks….
