After the whole Odyssey ending damaged the fandom, the accusations of them having no personality/youtube parodies for years portraying Mario as an asshole to everyone and Peach having affairs with Bowser. It's really just nice to see a video appreciating this wholesome couple for once, love them forever ❤

I adore this couple. Their relationship is just incredibly wholesome and traditional in a way you don't get to see often anymore. Both Mario and Peach are kind people, and Peach is such a sweet and innocent soul. As someone who's autistic, these two just bring me happiness, especially when they interact. Plus Peach's voice sounds so sweet. Both Jen before her, and Sam now are killing it in the role. Anya's performance in the movie was nice, even if I don't personally think the voice itself Peach. Charles Martinet is incredible, but we should make sure the other VAs get their deserved recognition for bringing these beloved characters to life.

@@miundamera I agree, and I understand, I think this is the best relationship ever, Mario and Peach's relationship is deep and symbolizes something very important. A lot of people hate it because in my opinion plenty of people dislike it because people who do bad things dislike good things and this relationship is cute, wholesome, Christian and even just over all is amazing. And it's the one relationship everybody in their hearts is real. Sorry if that sounds weird but that's what I believe.

TL;DR - These two are so frickin' cute. One of my favourite things about their dynamic, is even though Peach is usually being rescued, she tends to get a little playful with Mario, it's really cute. She keeps giving him these little smooches, knowing fully well that he goes beet-red every time that happens, and then acts all regal, while playing it all off in the most innocent way. It's like the whole Princess-and-rescuer dynamic they have going on is mostly for show. Of course the Princess would give a kiss to someone who helped save the kingdom! Totally no romantic feelings involved. This isn't to say Peach is duplicitous, or not as sweet as she looks. She's absolutely a sweetheart, and she clearly adores Mario, but she also gets a little. Coy and flirtatious, for lack of a better word. And, like. Yeah, girl, I get it, making your partner blush is incredibly fun. And then there's Mario, who is usually very chipper and optimistic, and even in the face of danger won't lose his energy, but at the same time, he gets all bashful and stammers a bit around her, it's really something adorable. They have this sort of a Jessica and Roger dynamic, especially considering how she's all tall, graceful, regal, and he's a cartoony little guy, sometimes half her size. Side note, say what you want about the Mario movie, but their playful banter, him shifting from his heels to his toes all bashful, her calling him "moustache", it's all so incredibly adorable. There really isn't any simpler of an appeal to it, than these two very nice people being cute together, if a bit silly sometimes. Of course, there's room to interpret their dynamic as a secret girlboss and malewife type of deal, or both of them kind of embodying the "crouching moron hidden badass" trope (nobody really expects a short plumber or a dainty prinecss to kick ass), but as something of a power couple, or maybe even as some sort of an open thing where they're best friends that haven't actually realised they're in love, but I feel that every "Mario is actually an abusive and crass jerk" or "Peach is actually in love with Bowser" is just being needlessly mean-spirited, instead of trying to explore anything interesting about these two.

And MatPat certainly hasn’t helped matters. With both his bullshit “Mario is Mental” and “Peach Hooks Up With Luigi to Make Rosalina” videos, the discussion about Mareach became even more of a toxic hellscape. I hope he’s aware of the lasting damage he’s caused over the years. Because these two are a genuinely sweet couple, and it sucks that the internet is polluted with this nonsense.

@@maximilianogomez6138 Well to be honest Illumination may have made the best movie with Super Mario, but what they have done to Peach was a bland obvious choice. Of course, she a fighter, of course she's "tough," of course she wants to be seen as a bold leader who isn't "frilly." And Mario and Peach's bond just HAS to play out the long way; start out as friends, have the girl be a boss while the boy is "delicate" 😒, and I bet it will be FOREVER till we hear and "I love you" from either, let alone a kiss. I don't care if it's done a million times, that it's outdated, and girls are seen as better image in this generation, I am a classic girl who falls for the damsel in distress trope, love at first sight, and there shouldn't be anything wrong with a girly girl, sometimes kindness is stronger than a physical fighting woman.

@@jillevers1432 I understand what you're saying, but I don't think it will affect the Mario Bros. movie. If what you say would have been the case for this film, no one would talk about this "potential couple", besides when you see all the scenes between Mario and Peach, whether it's their first meeting or slows down, their beginning of alchemy during the training course, their moments in the fire flower field which is quite a romantic place, their moments of flirtation in the rainbow road and not to mention the hidden details like the heart surrounding Mario and Peach in the ice where Bowser had been frozen and many others. With all that, it will be difficult to say that Mario and Peach will be simple friends, because on the one hand it would be illogical to show us all that in the film to give us nothing in the end, and I think that's the right thing to do. moments to make the most popular couple official. Afterwards you are right about the fact that female fictional characters are affected by feminism but I don't think that it affects 100% of films.

I remember in the Mario movie, the scene where Peach is addressing the toads and getting ready to leave for the Jungle Kingdom with Mario, you can see two toads, a red one and pink/purple one, kissing each other as Peach and Mario go into the warp pipe. I like to think it's foreshadowing. ❤💖

I’m a child of the late 80s, I was around for a lot of the early stuff, and I can say I’ve shipped Mario and Peach since I was a toddler. I always thought that he may not be the most handsome man, but it was still so lovely that he loved Peach (or Toadstool, as I knew her) just as she loved him, and I’ve always hoped for someone that would protect me and love me and be there for me like that.
