Yamaha HS7 1. Frequency Response: The Yamaha HS7 has a fairly uneven frequency response. It features a notable bump in the high frequencies around 5 kHz, which can make the sound seem bright and forward. The midrange is also quite pronounced, which is typical of Yamaha monitors but may not be to everyone's taste 2. Bass Response: The bass response of the HS7 is somewhat limited, partly due to its rear bass port, which can cause issues with placement near walls. The rear port may lead to exaggerated bass if the speakers are too close to a wall, and inadequate bass if placed too far 3. Harmonic Distortion: The total harmonic distortion (THD) is relatively low at moderate listening levels but can increase significantly at higher volumes, especially in the lower midrange around 300 Hz. This is likely due to internal resonances 4. Build Quality and Durability: The HS7 is noted for its durability, maintaining performance over many years despite heavy use. However, its sound signature might not be ideal for mixing due to the uneven frequency reponse RCF Ayra Pro 6 1. Frequency Response: The RCF Ayra Pro 6 generally offers a more balanced frequency response compared to the HS7. It has a smoother and flatter response, which is more suitable for accurate monitoring. The bass is better controlled, partly due to its front-firing bass port, which makes placement easier and more flexible 2. Bass Response: The Ayra Pro 6's front port allows for more accurate bass reproduction and avoids the placement issues that can affect rear-ported designs like the HS7. This design helps in delivering a tighter and more controlled low-end reponse 3. Harmonic Distortion: The Ayra Pro 6 shows low levels of harmonic distortion across most of the frequency range, maintaining clarity even at higher volumes. This makes it a reliable choice for critical listening and mixing tasks 4. Build Quality and Features: The build quality of the Ayra Pro 6 is robust, with features designed for professional use. It is equipped with advanced DSP for enhanced performance and flexibility in various acoustic environments Conclusion While the Yamaha HS7 is durable and has a distinctive sound signature that can be useful for certain types of mixing, its uneven frequency response and rear bass port design might be drawbacks for some users. On the other hand, the RCF Ayra Pro 6 provides a more balanced and accurate frequency response with better bass control due to its front-firing port, making it a more versatile option for accurate monitoring and critical listening 🤭🫡 Same price for both. Bye bye the overrated yamaha monitor 🤣 Thx to all the Web sites of real specs take by pro analysts with pro mic and material. 🙂

I have been using a set of kali in-8’s I got from sweetwater for about 2 months now. Gotta say these things are incredible!!! Definitely worth your time and money. Prior to that I was using a pair of presonus e44’s they were okay. They did the job. My mixes finally sound the same in my room as they do in each and every source I put them through. Kali in-8 DOES NOT LIE!!!!!

This is to inform yall that i got myself a pair of KRK Rokit 5's and i received one of them with a blown tweeter. I looked it up online and saw this is a common problem with KRK products. Some people receive both speakers with blown speakers so they dont realize that it's actually defective. I was just licky enough to receive one that wasnt damaged. I also read that someone had to replace their tweeter 4 times. So do consider this before getting a pair for yourself. Unfortunately for me, my country does not have an official KRK store (I got mine shipped from Amazon) so I cant easily purchase replacement parts without having to pay an extra $30 for shipping every time a tweeter gets blown. Watching this video to look for a better option

I just picked up a set of sterling mx5's, and I have it paired with my sterling h224. I wish more youtubers would cover these monitors, and I believe they have been around for about 8 years. My brother has a set of presonus e5's, and ive heard a pair of jbl mk11's. My point being, I paid 79$ a speaker, 220$ for the pair(including speaker cables) and the sound is on par if not more accurate sounding. The bass reproduction sounds immaculate, and the crossover is on point. Whether playing nasty rock, some punchy hip hop, or even some boomy edm, they are punchy and deep sounding. The frequency response is really amazing paired against other monitors at this price point, but you arent gonna hear much more after 20hz. From the little videos ive seen on these monitors, people have praised them. Maybe I need to make a video on these, I just dont have monitors to put them up against, or the right gear to test them properly.

Great video, mate! I bought a pair of the Adam Audio A7V from Sweetwater (Hi Max Dillon!) in 2022. I use them with an SVS SB-3000 subwoofer for my computer audio setup. The A7V was my best audio purchase in well over 10 years. I'm not a music producer or engineer. I just like listening to great music while working from home. The A7V have excellent imaging for gaming, too. I also bought a pair of the iLoud Micro Monitors for my M3 MacBook Air. They're great sounding little speakers that punch way above their weight class.

@sweetwater
@sweetwater 8 ай бұрын
Hi, Adam! Thanks for your interest. It’s a matter of opinion which studio monitors are “best,” of course, but I think most producers and engineers would consider the Adam “A” series to be an upgrade from the Kalis. The “T” series mentioned in this video is a newer, entry-level series from Adam. Out of the options Mitch outlines in the video, I’d be looking at the Neumanns as the next significant step up from what you currenly have with the Adam “A’s.” I hope this helps - feel free to contact me directly with any further questions, and thanks again! @vtkz
@vtkz 8 ай бұрын
Would choose the 120s. Youve the possibility to upgrade with the KH750 sub later in the neumann line up with their MA1 System. You have DSP & Correction on Board wich is beside Genelec, Trinnov and some else one of the best.
@richardpenrose1968

I had both the Neumann’s and Focals here to try and whilst both are great speakers, I kept the Neumanns. I found the stereo imaging, phantom center and general separation of all the instruments easier to hear. I could also hear things like reverb tales clearer on the Neumanns. I’m Noe’s considering the KH750 sub.

So do these plug directly in back of your synthesizer keyboard
@sweetwater
@sweetwater 4 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for your interest! If your keyboard has left and right line outputs, you can absolutely connect it directly to a pair of powered studio monitors. Depending on what the rest of your setup looks like, it might make the most sense to go through an interface or mixer first. It depends on what else you are doing and whether you also have other sound sources you might want to hear through the monitors. Hope this helps a bit - feel free to contact me directly with any further questions, and thanks again! Caleb Lowrey, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1620, caleb_lowrey@sweetwater.com

I have RCF ayra pro 6 since 2023 and the sound is unbelievable for the price Yamaha HS is just popular with good reputation. Its all. I watch a lot of video of top monitor and I always see this yamaha monitor and nobody talk about RCF. 🤨😫 After research, the RCF ayra pro 6 is more similar to Focal 65 evo. But Focal have better low frequency response 40hz. RCF only go to 45hz. However the RCF is more powerful with 109 db without distortion and Focal only 104 db. Its really huge difference, more than double of volume. Focal cost 100$ more than the RCF. Make your choice 🫡
