Really nice video. I was feeling very proud of my playing lately and I am reminded that pride comes before the fall, so I'm going back to re-learn some fundamentals like this. Totally the right move. This is great stuff to build off for a good night of practicing. Bad habits build and build until you're really just playing poorly - maybe fast and flashy, but still poorly and lazily ... that is, unless you keep working at it!

This puts me in mind of Come When I Call from the John Mayer live album. Really great playing and fun lesson!

This is great!! I like watching your videos!! It does help me out to learn more, since I am self taught. But I've been trying to figure out how to send you in a request for a cool blues song! It's a song that EVERY stoner would probably love to know how to play!! I know that I definitely would absolutely love to learn how to play the song that I'm going to finally ask & request to see you teach in a video!! So the song is called: "UP IN SMOKE!!" By of course, TOMMY CHONG!! I never get a response back, but I am hoping that I do with this comment & request!! Thanks again for your videos!!!

Love that guitar.

Got lucky with this one. It’s actually a very convincing fake made by two luthiers in Massachusetts.

That’s a counterfeit Gibson ES-335. Some amazing luthiers up in New England put it together as a fun project.

Why haven’t you ever done a John Mayer tutorial ? Just curious
@DumbbellsAndDonuts5 жыл бұрын
Murtaza this pretty much is a Mayer lesson. He’s a big advocate of the major 3rd in his soloing. Listen to Come When I Call from the live album.

Martin F ,, yeah I just realized that but I meant specially his songs. Not his blues techniques and solos.

Using the a minor pentatonic scale for A major. Hmm.....
@swiftlessons3 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, the cool thing about minor pentatonics is they can be used over both major and minor progressions if you want that blues rock kind of feel. Have fun! -Rob
