Seen some of these crabs while I was out the other day , didn’t end up getting any razors, but took my rod down and got the biggest bass I’ve ever caught 8 lb , can u believe it , got some pictures aswell, took it home and watched your video on haw to clean and cook , absolutely beautiful fish , think I’m going to haft to move near the sea , back to Salford on Sunday, missing the sea already, top video mate 👌🏾

next time put a few whole potatoes in the Boil along with some carrots and small onions and maybe some corn on the cob with a Nice Piece of sausage about 15 minutes before the crab, I also use Jalapenos 🥵 great I made my self hungry

I live in the upper Chesapeake Bay region of the state of Maryland in the United States of America. I've lived off a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay most of my life. My Dad was born a few houses away in 1930, with a midwife. As a young child I got to see how great the Chesapeake Bay was. In the summer every weekend we would have a Crab 🦀 feast. The area we live back in 1930 had summer cottages all along the shores. This is the best time for Maryland Steamed Crabs. On Wednesday I bought a dozen for $115.00. They were 7" to 8" point to point and 5" to 5 and 1/2" wide. We steam our Crabs with water, vinegar and Old Bay Crab seasoning. You live in a great area for foraging. I really enjoy your videos. They reminded me of my younger years going crabbing, clamming and fishing.

Hahahahaha yes bro finally a KZfaqr not from the south using zatarans 🤣. Do melted butter,zatarans liquid boil, green onion, garlic, and lousiana seafood cajun seasoning mix it all together and then toss the crabs in it too. Good

Darn, sure do wish I lived near the beach. Every time, me and friends go to the beach, all we see are Horse Shoe Crabs.

Those lady crabs (just plain old velvet swimmers we call 'em!) are one of my biggest worries when night fishing. More than once I've reeled in a big ball of weed and started stripping it off the rig then a big spiky crab clamps it's claw down on my finger. He's been feeding on my bait and been dragged in with the weed. Certainly wakes you up at 3am!!

Are you saying that KZfaq frowns on you showing how to clean and prepare crabs and other seafood? I live on Lake Ontario and had very little saltwater experience . Over the past couple years your channel has helped me and several friends learn how to clean and prepare seafood I would not have been comfortable with. It is a shame. Here on the lower east coast, those look like Johnny blues, we would use a rolling pin to get the meat out of the legs and then use it to stuff a flounder then bake

I steam my blue crabs with beer apple cider vinegar ,water and old bay seasoning. But always clean them first, ( shell off )

Jay, I use Louisiana Boil when I make my infamous CRAWFISH BOIL. Of course I also use Onions, baby red potatoes and cobs of corn with some Sausages. Instead of using water I use a Beer that is a MALT LIQUOR named COLT 45 in 64 ounce bottles.

Mate I’d love to see you do an American style boil; you could do a uk version with cockles, mussels, velvets etc. And do a nice paella too!!
