I was disappointed in the experience I had only because mine had sentimental value for me and it was almost 29 years old. So I thought that they were just going to disassemble it, clean it, and replace the broken parts. I didn't know that they were going to give me a new knife otherwise I probably wouldn't have sent it in and just upgraded to another one or possibly even downgraded to another 91mm knife. My original one also came back to me in pieces and was missing some of the old pieces which probably came out of the package and was lost in the mail.

My experience was almost the same, Victornox sent me back a new knife with the original knife totally disassembled and they charged me $15 here in America. The first packaged I opened had all the dissembled parts and the scales (handles) broken in half. I then looked deeper in the bag and found a brand new one in the box. They could have just fixed the old one and I would have been happy but giving me a brand new one was very nice. Thank you Victorinox for being a great company. Even though I paid $15 I figured that’s what it cost to make a brand new one.

Nice, i know that Victorinox stand by their products very well. I have used their warranty once and it worked well. That you got a new Victorinox Spartan is because of the broken shackle, the shackle or bail was discontinued in 1969, so they could not replace it, but it not younger than 1969, but since it have hidden rivets it s made after 1957. The small classic probably had a broken backspring. Good work showing how good Victorinox are.

in Indonesia they blamed me for broken knives and charge me $122,40 for repair, and even offered me to "reshape" that would makes the blades shorter..... well I'm quite disappointed my father gave it to me, and I'm intended to inherit the knives wo my son. Such a disappointment.

I don’t think you can send them oversized lettermail they might be under 500 g but they only fit through the slot I could be wrong

i tried it with my zippo and came back as new...ray ban the same send broken glasses get new ones !
