Switch 2 News is hot right now and if Nintendo is going to repeat history ~ we can expect a switch 2 zelda botw launch game with better graphics.
The Switch 2 release date will be sometime before March 2025 and zelda botw was a HUGE success for nintendo switch 2 put it lightly (see what I did there? I feel Clever... ) anyway, it would take a lot less effort to make a zelda botw definitive edition or whatever, compared to having a brand new IP available day one.
They can learn the tools of the new nintendo switch 2 hardware, just like they did with Zelda Wind Waker HD on Wii U. Switch 2 launch games will set the tone and ultimately the success of the switch successor in more ways than one.
Hype, excitement and word of mouth all works together. Everyone loves Zelda breath of the wild, so imagine the word of mouth from a stunning visual upgrade, that is exclusive to switch 2? The next nintendo console has a lot to live up to but if anyone can do it, it is Nintendo for sure. The next zelda game will no doubt be many years away before we even learn of its existence.

I agree it makes a ton of sense. I would still hope to get a collection of the classic titles like the one on the GameCube, BUT including some newer ones like Skyward Swords!

It shouldn't be the only reason to get a Switch 2 but it feels like an easy opportunity for Nintendo 🙂 Collection is a good idea 💡

Hey my friend! I agree with you to a degree but I have to say it wouldn't be enough at the launch of the Switch 2. I think it would be a great idea to do it but we need a new Super Mario 3D game, a new IP, Metroid Prime 4,... I think if the only game the Switch 2 had at launch was an enhanced version of BOTW, it would be a big let down for a lot of people, but if we had it on top of many other new and amazing games, then that would be great. I'm not sure what the numbers are and I know BotW moved a lot of units, but, in my observation, what made the Switch so succesful, on top of its hybrid nature, was the fact that we had so mamy great games in the first year, and BotW was new and many gamers were ready to go to the next console. An enhanced BotW wouldn't be completely new and the Switch was much more succesful than the Wii U (Not difficult, but they went from one of the least, if not the least, succesful systems of all time, to one of the most succesful, it's incredible). I think it's a good idea to launch it though, to flex the system's muscles as you said, but what we need are new games, and Metroid Prime 4 and an ambitious 3D Super Mario game would do that very well too. It would be great to have the GameCube on the Nintendo Switch Online on the Switch 2, I agree. I'd play a lot of games just for the sake of nostalgia.

Hello Friend! Oh I actually agree with you 🙂 I never even thought of this as the only reason to get a Switch 2 or should stand alone. Simply in terms of having something cool at Launch and an easy way to flex the graphics. There were many reasons for the Switch success, absolutely! I'm only addressing the first 3 months 😃 Metroid Prime 4 would be amazing and would explain why we have still not heard anything about the Game. Mario Kart 9 by itself could even carry the system to start, as that would be a huge deal. Will be interesting to see what Nintendo's answer is to keep providing value to the online service and just in general, always exciting to see what the most unpredictable company has planned for us all!

@GamingMyWholeLife Oh yes, I actually really agree with you on that. Oh yes, that's good. I remember the first year of the Nintendo Switch, it was already great, I could feel at the time that it was a sort of Switch Renaissance. Oh yes, Metroid Prime 4 would be awesome, and Mario Kart 9 would be amazing. I agree, I can't wait to see what they'll bring to their online service. What would be really great, in my opinion, is the creation of smaller, more compact games for a lower price, like Bowser's Fury, but as a stand alone game. Maybe we could have a Waluigi game that way. Well, that might not be part of the online service, but a separate game you can buy, I just thought about that in our discussion.

Smaller Games is an interesting idea to join the bigger ones and to keep things fresh. Also I like that each console generation Nintendo creates a new IP or 2. Wii U has Splatoon, Switch had ARMS and I wonder what is next 😃

@GamingMyWholeLife I agree, that would be great. I also agree with you on that, and no matter what people say about Arms, I praise Nintendo for trying, and this game had the Nintendo DNA, I hope they make Arms 2. If you think about it, Nintendo has done that since the N64, or before. N64 had Super Smash Bros, GameCube had Animal Crossing and Pikmin, the Wii had Wii Sport, the Wii U had Splatoon, the Switch had Arms. I can't wait to see what they bring next.

Very true, there is always new Game series with each console but haters just see the word Mario and assume its all the same. Can't wait to learn more about the switch 2

thanks for the video my biggest question/hope that we be able to play switch games on new console I got bunch physical game be nice to be able slot them in and play

You are most welcome ^__^ We all could easily be over analysing but the current belief is the next system will be similar enough to the Switch, where backwards compatibility should easily be an option. I've bought almost all of my Switch Games, physical ~ so I'm in the same boat as you. Would love to still be able to play them all

It doesn't need to be a Launch title but a better looking BOTW I would enjoy very much. What do you hope to see?

@@GamingMyWholeLife A new Zelda overworld really. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom have done that version of Hyrule to death

We all want that but they will need time, thats why I suggest it as a good filler

@@GamingMyWholeLife Yeah, I guess if it took them 6 years just to reuse the same Hyrule in Tears of the Kingdom, it will probably take them another 10 years to make an actual new over world to explore

I'm guessing you did not like the recent Zelda Games. TOTK did take a long time to develop but considering how much you can do and the quality, it was not simply reusing the World by any stretch. Need some more positivity from ya hahaha
