Noticed that the wheels were spinning well after putting together JMAN's new board. Performing a non-scientific spin test to give you one perspective of how well the Switch Skate Supply Ceramic Bearings spin after being serviced and on a skatepark freshie with new trucks without any dust or grime picked up from the skatepark or road.
There are many variables such as spinning by hand, why are the nuts on/off the truck axles, spacers/no-spacers, how much lubricant did you use, need to break in your bearings, INSERT bearing brand is better and faster, INSERT Other bearing brand and "I got my INSERT bearings to spin longer.", etc.
The biggest difference that we can share with you after riding the Switch Skate Supply and also Bones Swiss Ceramic bearings is that there is a noticeable difference in resistance and smoothness when rolling. It is like you have a tail wind and don't have to push as much or work as hard in the bowls to keep the same speed.
The above may not make as much of a difference for skilled riders and younger riders, but for middle aged skaters, I noticed that I am not spending as much energy to keep the skateboard going and therefore have more energy to skate longer.
This is also a non-scientific bearing speed test and therefore just one example as the board was built and how JMAN's board is like when new. What we would take straight to the skatepark upon assembly.
To get a real world perspective of the speed of the bearings, JMAN tends to ride smoother and faster at the skatepark when he has a fresh set up with new wheels and new or overhauled bearings.
