Nice to see the place in grass! Thanks Virginia for all the beautiful sweet footage of the cows and Stacy with the cows and your place at the end. That felt like a lovely dessert! Sending you warm wishes!!

Everything has pro and cons, there was a time that overhere the milkfactory payed good money when you delivered the most milk in the wintertime which is onnaturel for the cows in general but now we like to deliver every month the same amount of milk so there are no peaks anymore, and also rimind that the feed cost are much higher for fresh cows during wintertime compared to the good grass outside in may and June, thanks and greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer

I love that you guys spend so much time with your animals . They are definitely family . Have loved following you from you start. I also love that you keep your calves with their moms . That is huge.

I live in eastern Oregon in the high land desert area I have a friend who is a rancher and he does fall calving and it does really good for him we were looking at his calves last week there ready to go to the auction this week and they look really good and he says he's had really good luck with fall calving he used to do spring calving but he had a lot of sick calves in the spring because of the weather but he says once he went to fall calving most of that went away

Where you don't try and sell a calf crop each year, that really makes a lot of sense. I watch a couple of you tube video's from NZ. and they will calf in the fall and with in a two to four week window But they also only milk once a day too. You really are getting some pretty cows and caves. They sure are in great shape. Love your channel. You are a great couple...............

The herd is looking good. How is your garden doing? Judging by the pasture, you're having a decent growing season thus far. Good luck as you evolve your routine. 😎

I miss the tune that played before any video was played. Please bring it back. It had a video in the back ground of a running calf with the bell tied in the neck. I loved that tune.

Unfortunately I have not been able to get my cow to breed back at the same time every year. Therefore I’ve calved in the spring and the fall. There’s advantages and disadvantages both season.

Might be good to rent a bull if you are doing that? I bet a lot of farmers would be happy to let their bull have xmas away you could AI with Jersey and then rent a clean up Angus or something?

As mentioned, a Fall calving schedule will allow to have lactating cows on pasture during the best grass of the year here. Thanks for watching!
