kenyan oprah, very humble she can even tell if somebody is not good in english. , she switches to swahili. hands up girl
@nomxhosapekani79665 жыл бұрын
I really admire her, she is the future of Kenya and Africa. I started learning Swahili because of her.
@TheIrbe5 жыл бұрын
Why are Kenyans talking English and not Swahili? Kenya should embrace Swahili as Tanzania did.
@nomxhosapekani79665 жыл бұрын
@@TheIrbe I think it's important for Globalisation and Development. We also have a lot of Kenyan babies born in the diaspora and shows like this allow them to know more about their country, as most kids in mix marriages don't speak Swahili.
@TheIrbe5 жыл бұрын
@@nomxhosapekani7966 What a nonsense, when you mean mixed marriage do you mean the high number of kenyan women marrying old white men? It seems to be a trend in Kenya, no self pride, loyalty or self preservation of kenyan, african identity. Lets not pretend that kenyans talk English because of globalisation, its because of colonisation... If Mozambique adopted English, that would be because of globalisation. Swahili could be a global language but Africans have no pride in their languages, we take pride into our children speaking fluent English or Frensh than in fluent Swahili or another African language such as Xhosa. Go to any country in Europe that's not U.K, you cant speak English, they will require you to learn their language but when foreigners come to Africa in countries such as Kenya since there is no national pride in Kenyans, those foreigners don't have to integrate into kenyan culture, there are millions of europeans who have lived in Africa for decades but still doesn't know any African languages... In Tanzania on the other hand, foreigners are forced to learn Swahili because they value their language unlike in Kenya.
@nomxhosapekani79665 жыл бұрын
@@TheIrbe I understand your patriotism, and the importance of holding our African languages with high esteem. I was thinking of many Africans, and also Kenyan who have fled to Europe and the Americas due to political and economical problems. Most found partners and married there, hence there kids speak the languages of the countries they are born in. I was just saying it is good to have these programmes are broadcast in English so that such children can take part in debate in their ancestoral country. I also understands your frustration with us Africans still having to learn our colonisers languages, but the so called 1st World is still ruling the World and until there's real unity in Africa and we are able to built our economies without blatant corrucption, we are still dependant on them.

Dear Lord , I truly thank you for showing me this incidences for all. But as a young lady of 21, its so blessing for Grace to share that , this greatly teaches us that , we should not be in a rush of everything, just as the Bible says , there is a time for everything. Surely I'm blessed and I hope to say no to wrong questions , even when situations aint stable for me. But I will hold unto the good, by GOD'S loving Grace. Thank you Grace and all, and plus Tamima the TV presenter😘🙏🏽

Mavuno Church have a program called Mizizi and about 6-years ago one of its core facilitators launched it in the correctional institutions and named it "Freedom Behind bars" this saw the transformational purpose driven program get taught to prisoners and took a step further and even taught to the wardens so that both are transformed inside out ... so powerful was this tool that they launched it out to various prisons and it was used to reconcile families and unplug the stigma... Tamima great platform and may God use big time to heal the broken, downtrodden and rejected.
