Everyone who "hates" SAO is a hater of the popular series'. Besides the story that everyone complains about, this series is astonishing and not a let down. People need to stick through with it till the end.

there is a game for SNES that had something like this but not quite xD Its called Lufia II Rise of the sinistrals, it has a dungeon at about half the game and its called Ancient Cave. Ancient cave is a dungeon in which you have 100 floors(the 100th being a big boss battle). It really is an awesome game if you don't mind the graphics. sorry for my english xD

It ended for now. But they only animated the first 2 book out of 4. And I heard that they gonna make another season named Gun Gale Online...can't wait :)

The light novels do cover what happened to laughing coffin and it gets very real. Some people don't forgive and forget. Quite likely that if any new seasons are made, you can count on that being covered as it majorly effects the main characters in the real world.

For Roots and GU you don't really need to have played the other games to understand the story due to the fact the story is set is set in a new game and it a whole new cast of characters. There are a few things that wont truly understand such the hints to who some of the characters players are from the last game, such Hasao, Endrance, and Yata, but everything is explained later on so no one is really lost.

This song makes much more sense now that it's been paired with SAO.

It's an anime/manga about being stuck in a video game in the future, which is set up as an alternate world, with more attributes (such as sword skills in SAO and flying in ALO). It's a great anime, although I do wish they made it a bit longer.....

Well keep in mind the anime is simply added info for the games, which are the main plot points anyway, and even if you dislike .Hack you sure as hell cant deny the similarities.

That would be a pretty insane plot twist for SAO actually.... If by the end they realize that everyone who "died" in the game didn't actually die in real life.... In other words they would never have been "Trapped" to begin with.

Overall it was a fun and entertaining Anime but it felt like it was rushed. If they were given more than 2 seasons to work with they could've made it truly amazing.

I don't think people would care if they were stuck in the game. It would still be better then going to school, and stuff. You could Kill Monsters, level up, Kill more Monsters, more leveling, and so on.

Actually if you look it up on google, The light novels that Sword Art online is based on have a Bunch! of books into it right now and it is still going. So I could see many other seasons hopefully.
