I have a Sidewinder X1 V4.0 and its still going strong since I purchased it more than 3 years ago. Now that I have a Bambu P1S both of these are part of my production for my company. I have to say I see a difference in print quality in both system Bambu being the better of the two but most of the time I can tell the customer would not notice or care.

I followed your video very closely, many thanks. I did tear down the hot end completely and reassembled it without too many difficulties. One issue though is with the new metal extruder arm and the all metal hot end. I find it difficult to push the filament in as there is now no guide, but with some dexterity I can get it placed in position. I have klipper on my X2. A much bigger problem is that in your end g-code as well as the filament load macro, you have code to retract the filament so it does not gum up the hot end. Unfortunately with the all metal hot end the retraction distance appears to be too much and the filament unloads from the hot end. How can I adjust this. Thanks.

I maybe remembering wrong but wasn’t someone talking about dropping 24V to 5V for a Raspberry Pi 5. You don’t just need 5Amp at 5V; the ‘power delivery’ gets in the way. I’m currently fighting this. I have a 20A 5V power supply similar in appearance to the 24V one in the sidewinder X2. I get an error on every boot saying it is underpowered and it reduces power to the USB ports. I have Raspberry Pi 4 and a 3 both happily powered by power supplies because they don’t have PD. The 5 is a bitch though. Advise against it.
