I bought the breakout board, I did everything given in the video and it works from the first second! Great! But allow one question please: is it still Marlin? I used Orca Slicer in Marlin2 mode before BL-touch install with your firmware. Please let me know!

Yeah this is a bit sad that they removed that. There are USB options that will work just fine though.

Really wanting to update my mcu board on the swx2 just not sure which one. I have your pcb board and am wondering if it has an extra 5v so I can install knomi 2 with the stealthburner upgrade im working on. I can honestly say I'm not ready to give up on the slingers and not ready to get on the bambu train yet.

I love the board overall but I believe that taking out tx & rx for uart is a big downgrade and secondly just why. I was wanting to have a cleaner setup with less big wires and save some usb ports for other stuff kind of a letdown.

Uart5 works on pins 21 and 23. I've been working on a pi2 video to go over it, but time constraints are a pain.

@@TheFeralEngineer I saw a post somewhere on reddit about that but I couldn't get it to work I even adjusted the armbianEnv file with no success. Maybe I was missing something idk. On a side note wouldn't this mess with your display if you are running one?

@@nickolascuartero7854 it's a little unclear when modifying the armbianenv file. You need to put all of the device tree overlays you want to open up on a single line, you can't just uncomment uart5 somewhere down the list, you need to put it in the first overlay line that is uncommented. Also, it's important that you also have a ground connected. I didn't run into any display issues, but I'm currently running mine headless and connecting to it through a btt pad7 with a wireless connection set up in Klipperscreen.conf

I am having difficulty downloading your bracket from the one drive, it comes as a .step which cura wont load, if you know where I could find the bracket as a gcode or stl file (or how to slice .step file) would be much appreciated (:

I followed your video very closely, many thanks. I did tear down the hot end completely and reassembled it without too many difficulties. One issue though is with the new metal extruder arm and the all metal hot end. I find it difficult to push the filament in as there is now no guide, but with some dexterity I can get it placed in position. I have klipper on my X2. A much bigger problem is that in your end g-code as well as the filament load macro, you have code to retract the filament so it does not gum up the hot end. Unfortunately with the all metal hot end the retraction distance appears to be too much and the filament unloads from the hot end. How can I adjust this. Thanks.

Just confirming that this is working with a BTT Pi TFT50? Also any chance of getting a copy of those board mounting and piTFT50 case / mounting files?

THANKS FOR YOUR DETAILED VIDEO.I managed to install klipper in my Artillery 2 using an external programmer. However it works! The problem is that in the endstops test I have the response z and y trigger

I now did all this and the display does not communicate with the board anymore. Guys, maybe its important to upate the TFT along with the mainboard. I am waiting now for my sd card and reader i ordered to complete the mission. I wish i knew the option how to safe the current firmware on the printer. Now i am not able to print until delivery arrives. This tutorial is good, but far to imcomplete for beginners! You may end up like me with a non working printer.

The cooling fan on the cooling bar does not start when the extruder reaches a temperature of 50°C. I connected the fan to the Fan1 fan connection for the parts cooling. The fan FA2 (heat block fan) works. Then I checked the mainboard, and when the extruder is set to heat up to 220°C, the LED of the MOSFET for FAN2 'HE01' lights up at a temperature of 50°C, but the fan itself does not start. This is with your firmware for the X1 with BLTouch."

Both are ostensibly the same, but the pi2 gives you the m.2 pcie capability for a small ssd

Hi, I use orca slicer. I have followed all the steps and when I print the motors it loses steps, I think the error is in the accelerations, could you make a profile for orca slicer? I am using a translator, I don't know if it will be understood, Thank you very much in advance

hi , when i try doing the m997 command it just disconnects the printer and i have to power cycle it in order for it to be recognized again by the computer... why is that?

What stepper drivers i can use in the Sidewinder X2 stock Ruby board? My Z motors don't move and Artillery support is playing deaf despite me buying the printer only 1.5 months ago.

3:22 I think that's the NPU. The BTT pi v2 is listed as only having 1 mali GPU core with a rockchip SoC, so that 1 core is part of the CPU chip. That would mean the separate chip is an NPU for spaghetti detective like activity(computer vision) which is fine at the .8 TOPs listed, but keep in mind that it'll heat up. it's essentially one of the newer Chinese "NPUs" which are just repurposed cheap/ugly CPU cores and some memory.

They are using the RK3566 chip which comes with an NPU by default. It doesn't do much for this installation but they probably just decided to market it. Any acceleration would need to be done through the RKNN library so not all models work out of the box which is a minus. It's not "repurposed CPU cores" though.

be sure to use a min. 32GB SD card! I used a 8GB card and my EMMC also got formatted/partitioned to 8GB only! Had to redo the process with a 32GB SD.
