here is some tips and tricks for making a snowmobile drive better in water ! 1. there are 2 springs and 2 shocks in the track system, the front one you tighten as much as possible to make it as stiff as it can be ! 2. in the rear of the track you loosen the spring adjustment as much as possible ! or you can take the whole spring of and leave only the shock if track isnt rubbing to the tunnel 3. skis have to come out of water if you want to steer well in water and not to cause turbulence and sink, fast way to make skis stay in place is ratchet strap them to up position ! these settings also make the snowmobile wheelie really easily ! + couple of things, i have seen many take the front shock and spring completely of and replace it with a piece of iron tube, this makes the front of the track flex as little as possible, usually when you build sled to the water front control arms are shortened to get the skis as narrow as possible, also the whole suspension at the front should be eliminated. higher profile track gives much more agressive acceleration but really loses a lot of speed. lower profile track is a bit more harder to keep floating in low speeds but can go much faster
