Doesn't it feel amazing to root for a K-pop group whose every member literally can sing and make beautiful harmonies together? I'm extremely proud of Taemin, Key and Minho because they have improved so much, and they can now sing alongside Onew and Jonghyun. They can honestly be the second DBSK (the five-membered group), where Jaejoong, Junsu, Yoochun, Yunho and Changmin all could sing in the group and everyone knows how they soared so high all over Asia and the world because they were so talented. I don't want to compare but SHINee.. they are blowing my mind right now.

‘Selene 6.23’ is a work of art by Kim JongHyun, written 8 years ago today and remaining one of SHINee's most vocally powerful tracks. The song was written in the presence of a supermoon and is described to reflect the emotions that follow a one-sided love with the moon. JongHyun conveys a feeling of reaching for something that is inherently and distressingly unattainable. The something that he is reaching for is not a tangible object, but an idea. The story of one-sided love with a celestial being that appears every night but is unreachable symbolizes the relationship between SHINee and Shawol, in a summary of JongHyun's words. In a rough translation, JongHyun composes the chorus, describing that though he extends his "hand, though I extend it with all my strength, I can’t reach you. It seemed like I got closer so I called you with a fluttering heart, but there’s no answer. I guess I can never reach you. Every day changes so quickly and you are warmly and brightly shining. I've never seen that turned back- is curiosity also part of my greed?" JongHyun conveys a feeling of reaching ceaselessly for someone or something that is so far away that it feels greedy to even attempt to reach. Despite wanting to give up, he portrays himself to be continuously fighting that urge because of the love he is motivated by.
