Anyone have an idea about the assembly of the Volvo xc v70 front passenger cv symphony of noise makers. Can the carrier bearing make a high pitched noise almost like an electric motor? RPM dependent. Whatever it is was only noticable right after getting started when cold and seemed to go away after a short drive. There was a clicking when turning at low speed. Not so noticable now for some reason. But now it has been more like all the time. It seems like there is play with the inner cv on that side. But not much noise when turning. And not much vibration in the front end since I replaced a tie rod end on the drivers side. Oh and the noise is not changed much turning left or right.

When you hit a wheel off the curb, while avoiding speed bump, with 46 000 km you will replace cv joint.

Ok I have a clicking noise when I get to the center of the steering column, they is no other noises, and there is no play in the wheel, or any noises during acceleration. The sound is coming from the wheel and as stated above it only happens at 12 o'clock, what do you think this issue is?

Same. I’m starting to hope and think that clicking won’t necessarily be a CV joint problem and hopefully it’s a bearing problem or something. I haven’t inspected it yet however.

My CV visually looks fine, but I get the clicking when driving, but heres the thing..... it happens when I am going straight, left or right and it happens randomly and unpredictably, sometimes when I turn it does it and sometimes it don't. I know what a bad CV sounds like and it sounds exactly like a bad CV, but I am not convinced yet cuz it doesn't happen consistently or just when I turn. It also does it when I am coasting or accelerating, but then it won't do it while coasting or accelerating. Again visually the CV looks fine, all boots are good and not punctured nor is there any looseness in it when I feel it, and theres no grease on the inside of my rim. When I do hear it it is coming from the drivers side, CAN SOMEONE HELP?!?!?! 2008 Toyota RAV4 V6

I have the same. Still trying to figure it out. Been to a couple of repair places and I'm also not convinced of their findings.
