I think the reason the deinotherium can walk sideways and diagonal is because theyre drunk and mostly unable to walk straight

i love this things taming method as it actually feels like taming, you have to pay attention close attention to its behavior and only when it wants to be fed/tamed can you safely approach it.

@@Kehy_ThisNameWasAlreadyTaken I’ve tamed everything in the mod. It’s really not hard to tame any of them once you know how each one is tamed. Methods are easy but can be time consuming. But that is what makes this mod one of the best. I tamed two today and it’s gets easier after the first one.

I'm always amazed at the additons creatures' quality. The animations, textures, models, utility, and taming mechanics are all top notch and it's a miracle that they can all come together in a single, free mod.

Those taming body signals are actually how elephants behave when they're gonna charge. Tucking their trunk, pinning back the ears, very bad signs. Relaxed wiggles are the way to go.

quick bit of information, 21:31 you will see the drag weight, its 550, same as a rex so yes you can take them to fight bosses.

@@astra1501 basically drag weight is the dinos base weight for its body and if it’s less than 560 that means it can be brought into an arena

"no one would notice that wildcard didn't make it" i would say the opposite is the case. ark additions is so well made, you would notice it, because it casts a shadow on all vanilla creatures

I’d say some things could pass off as made by wc if they were balanced, if you compare them to newer additions. Like deinosuchus have a very similar method to shadowmanes, so if the bite wasn’t so op they could definitely be seen as made by wc.

@@flashlightning6742 shadowmanes and bloodstalkers have 35 different buffs and abilities, so I mean op is wc's m.o. in recent years. Deinosuchus is a very straightforward and fair dino imo.

@@Awesomeficationify It is still incredibly powerful compared to most creatures. Most ark additions stuff are. It is a relatively easy tame for an easy 1k damage You can straight up run any island boss with some good acros aswell, even alpha dragon.

I am adoring this creature's taming method, being able to tell or judge if the Deinotherium wants you to come close or not feels much more like a taming tactic or method than for most of the vanilla creatures. That is also because it actually takes the beer from you instead of giving it to it XD

@@Jyharri yeah especially for high teir tames. Kinda sad that a lot of the highest tier tames like Rexes, gigas, mosas, and quetzals all have the same basic taming method

Probably not much of an animal nerd, but it looks like the creator designed the Deinotherium after elephants with its behaviors. In modern elephants the trunks curling sideways like that is kinda like when you tense your body up to be ready to tackle someone, and them pinning their ears back like that is well known with elephants as them really not wanting you/whatever is near them to be around.

I love them they look cool but also adorable they’re definitely kinda op though, I’m not saying that’s a bad thing but they can go to boss fights and they’re stronger than rexes and have buffs and have pack boost and they might be able to eat sweet vegetable cakes which would be crazy I think a big pack of these could probably kill a wild giga

the two-legged stomp it does when you left click triggers while your turning. it doesn't happen randomly or after a certain amount of stomps.

This is something I’ve always wanted to see, another badass giant herbivore in the game, it’s basically what the paracer and bronto should be. This creature, the deinocheirus, giant bison, shantungosaurus, shunosaurus and maybe the uintatherium were always perfect candidates to fill the herbivore role in battle that some of the larger carnivores fill. I like carnivores, but I’ve always wanted more herbivores in Ark, whether they’re big or small. I hope Ark 2 has a bigger cast of herbivorous dinos, mammals and birds since there’s clearly a lot to choose from.

Dinotherium is both a tank, soaker, and buffer. And that large stomp is done when you stomp WHILE you are turning.

This has always been a creature I wanted in the game, kind of sucks it’s not in official but glad it’s in such a high quality mod. I hope Ark 2 has not only a wider cast of large mammals, but large herbivores in general that can fulfill the same battle uses as the huge apex carnivores.

To get the others to roar try to go into the options wheel thingie, behaviour and then press allow AI special attacks, same goes with wyverns normally they won't use they're breath but if you allow AI special attacks
