Mine does not have a radiator cap on it and it does have a pressurized system, I know that much. Just need to know how to bleed the system out of air bubbles afterwards. Thanks.!!!

Most of those smaller cars are self bleeding and all you do is drive it around the block and then come back and refill it once it cools down and just keep refilling it until it stops taking more coolant also it's a good idea to drive it with the heater on that way it circulates the fluid through the heater core

Correct me if I misinterpreted you here... but are you trying to claim this mercedes W123 diesel has an aluminum block? If so, that's incorrect. Part of why it has such a stellar reputation for reliability, longevity, durability is it is a cast iron block and cast iron head. There are certain components in the cooling system that are aluminum such as water pump mounting housing and thermostat housing, but block and head are most definitely cast iron, thank goodness.

Hard mode but you had two threads to well remove the old coolant, one at the button of exhaust intake, and one on the left of the radiator that shows under the front bumper…. do it this way if you dont want oxidation on the coolant system.

Hi Eben!! I wish to know if you can explain to me how to I do a coolant change on a 2018 Jeep Compass or Renegade since those have no radiator cap. (Same 2.4 liter engine on both by the way). Do I still follow this video for those or what should I do? Thanks in advance for your prompt response.!!!

With your experience with the Amsoil coolant, does it work best at keeping the engine cooler better than any other aftermarket coolants?

I haven't seen any comparable studies. I do know Amsoil coolant is specifically designed for aluminum blocks so it doesn't allow pitting and it keeps corrosion out. Also, it's biodegradable and low toxicity for animals. When I changed my Corvette to the Amsoil oil low toxicity coolant I found it to run much smoother better and it ran cooler. Also the great thing is it is compatible with all other coolants so even if you don't get all the old coolant out there won't be any issue with mixing. I run it 30% Amsoil oil low toxicity coolant and 70% distilled water because where I live I don't need the cold protection The product that is proprietary dams oil that helps your engine run cooler is Amsoil Dominator coolant boost. The Dominator coolant boost helps you or engine warm up faster and increases the heat transfer from the aluminum radiator to the water and allows your engine to run cooler once it gets to operating temperature. it's a diesel it has to be at certain op temp to perform at its best why would you try to get it to run colder?

Great question Chandler! Here in Las Vegas things are a little bit different the air quality is very very very very very very very very very very thin we're at about 2000 1 feet to 3450 depending on where you're at in Las Vegas. Show on a small 4 liter engine you're going to be down about 13 to 21 crank horsepower. 2. Temperatures are also a little bit different than other places the average temperature in the summer is 102.7 for 2 and 1/2 months. Which means the air is much cooler and that are can't cool the engine when the air flows over the radiator. show during the summer it's best to grab any type of subtleties you can get to help pull cylinder temperature is down so if you can get a better oil you're going to have less friction less heat if you can get a better coolant you're going to pull cylinder temperatures down and also the Amsoil Dominator coolant boost helps with pulling the heat out of the block. the temperature coming off the blacktop is usually in the 150s during the daytime. So basically any type of manufacturer doesn't design equipment for this atmosphere so the best thing you can do is just protected and coolant as best as possible oversized radiators excetera excetera excetera. thanks for being a part of my channel and being a big part of my KZfaq Community😉 Have great Weekend Broskiesss!
