Thank you dear ladies So Much! My grandfather use to make these,I never paid full attention to how he would make them so I would constantly yearn for his special cookies That everyone in the whole family would clamor for with their coffee ! Thank you again So Much beautiful ladies !

Is there a Recipe typed out Anywhere for what you are doing? You didn't say what you were putting in the mixer when you start. Can you Add the Recipe as an Addendum to your video, PLEASE?

She does say. 1 pound of shortening and 1 cup of sugar. Just rewatch it with your own pen and paper.

...And the measuring cup, my Mom had the orange colored cups. She purchased them in the early sixties. My dear sweet Mom passed at 94 y.o. but the cups are still in her kitchen.😊❤

I have to try these! Love molasses! It’s funny how the title says syrup when it’s molasses. When I first started watching I thought you’d be using maple syrup but either is great to me!!

Had to come back because I heard you say you go through alot of vanilla. I make mine now because it's getting so expensive. I just fill up a Mason jar with vodka and drop 2 or 3 vanilla pieces in. Store in a dark place and shake gently once a week. I guess one could use in 3 months but the longer the better😊

I come to Jefferson every year to get s couple half gallons of that wonderful Blackburns River Bend syrup...won't make pecan pies without it.

On tea cake recipe binge. Like looking at the various ways to make. Not sure what imperial sugar is. Never seen molasses added. Love molasses would like to try

Have yall ever heard of tea biscuits made with Karo syrup? My Grannie made them but no one knows the recipe.

My momma used to make her tea cakes with Karo too.they were so good. She used to use the light Karo syrup to make them look lighter. She showed my how to make them once and I forgot the recipe. I am so sad because she’s no longer with us.

I see you scooping flour without fluffing your flour first, i usually swirl my whisk through my flour before measuring out my flour, should I do that for older recipes? Or should I not bother to do it at s at all? I never used to but I thought I had to? Now I’m not sure??

Modern recipes advise fluffing or sifting flour before spooning it into the measuring cup. Weighing is the most accurate. Times past a tea cup would be used to measure 1cup.
