@collinmcc_462 Drop C#, not Drop C. So basically it's half a step down in all strings except the top, but you're tuning the top string even further down to C#

Ain't no way somebody has the same problem, felt like i was the only one. In my case i just stuck with the pick, it sucked but after playing multiple different songs with it overtime it got better and better. Perhaps you could try anchoring some part of your hand to the guitar in order to still your picking hand. Works for some, doesn't work for me. You could also try experimenting with different ways of gripping the pick. What immensely helped me was realizing that i play better holding the pick with 3 fingers instead of two. You could also try hybrid picking by just using your fingers to pick the higher strings, still gripping the pick. One last thing you can do is to double down and go fingers all the way. You can use your index fingernail as a pick and get quick alternate picking that way. This is what i did untill i found out how awkward palm-muting is with that. You could also experiment with more flamenco-oriented techniques. Keep practicing and lemme know how it goes man!
