Thank you ...I had the same problem short cycling it turned out to be the drain backing up at the float switch ...easy fix

Your Ames fork meter is actually true RMS responding, as it's built on the DTM0660L/HY12P65 DMM on a chip, which includes a DSP based TRMS converter. It's a nice unadvertised bonus.

Hello, I live in South Florida and I have a brand new AC (2 weeks old) ever since it was installed, it runs for about 7 minutes every hour or so. The Thermostat states the temperature desired is reached, and therefore it just turns once (for 7 minutes) every hour. We set the temp for 72 before bed, and it will just run these 7 mins per hour to maintain that temp. Now, if I lower the temp by a couple of degrees then it will run for about 12 minutes… However, still just once per hour. Please let me know what could be the issue. Brand new Ac/Thermostat.

Is that makita vac good for vaccing drains out?

It’s very good for that. The other day I thought my motor was dying, but it was just the battery. The makita though has a design flaw. The float fits in the filter and comes out when you remove the filter. And with the filter wet it won’t work. So, I’ve got two filters, one where I’ve cut large slats out of, housing the float, which I use for water, and another without a float that I use for other reasons. Other brands like dewalt don’t have that problem

I don't know where he's located, but yes code does require they be strapped down in the hurricane areas. All they do is use some flimsy ac straps that are drilled into the cement slab of the condenser. Pretty dumb. Atleast this dudes strap will do something. lol

i use fieldpiece sc260 its super tiny and does everything you need it to do

That’s the Harbor Freight Ames CM200A. It’s a $50 meter that I’ve picked up to try out. I’m starting to really like it. It’s not TRMS, and only CAT3 rated, but does almost everything we need. For residential work, which is most of my work, it’s looking like it’ll be a great meter.

@@HVACGUY I believe cat 4 rating is achieved with probe shielding like fluke uses with it's twisty type probes.

That’s a universal locking cap remover with the other tips inside. If I’m not mistaken it’s made by JB. But, I’ve had to constantly replace them because the shaft will start turning in the handle.

I think you might have missed my comment from a previous video. We were talking about using coil cleaner. You said you wished someone made a safe Micro channel cleaner. Viper Venom packs in the yellow packs are micro channel safe and safe for painted ICP/Carrier coils. I have been buying it from Supply House because no Viper dealer close to me.

Yes, I saw. According to Viper it is safe. I haven’t seen where the manufacturers have approved it. I personally don’t have any experience with them, and have been afraid to try. If I find a coil that just has to have chemicals, I may try it. I think I’ll have to order it though

No, it was put there to hold it in place if a hurricane or tornado comes through. We’ve had a lot of serious storms in recent years. It’s kinda funny though, because that strap is loose as a goose.
