I believe her name is Y'egas. The uploader of the video went to Lake Sebu i think maybe to interview the indigenous tribe of T'boli. The uploader also mentioned the song was about the beauty of Lake Sebu. This video is outstanding, not only Y'egas has this mesmerizing beauty but the way her eyes glisten everytime she stares on and off the camera is really captivating. Thank you Ovela for honoring the rich culture of Filipino indigenous music. MORE POWER!!! ❤️

@@benpadero Kaya pala.. medyo bata pa si Ye'Gas dito... I lived in lake sebu for more than 1 year.. I used to worked in Punta Isla where they are showcasing their culture through dancing, singing and even play their musical instrument (improvised). I also used to handle them just to organized them and someone will lead them.. kasi minsan nagkakagulo din sila eh.. so ako yong taga saway sa kanila at sumbongan din nila taga pag bati sa kanila or if they want something to say sa management ako yong tulay nila.. Hindi pa ata pinanganak si Heart sa time na yan.. siya yong bata na naga sayaw Apo ni Marina... nakakatuwa sarap mag balik tanaw..:) I am so happy for Ye'Gas..:)

I laugh so hard when you say,Tau bulul 😅😂 it means a people living in the mountain, Tau means a people or person,Bulul means mountain and you pronounce it pretty well 😇❤️Tau bulul!! All I say that she's telling a story by singing and the story about the Lake Sebu place and people, such as a parents who's missing their children because they are far from their parents ❤️and a tourist attraction and ofcourse a tboli culture. And in her song, she's telling an American foreigner or Mlekano who has been visiting in lake sebu and amaze it's views and culture. I hope I don't get it wrong😇❣️

Austronesians din sila. same ancestors. I check nyo yung Austronesian expansion sis, actually the Melayu and Indon came from Filipinos, who moved south from Mindanao a very very long time ago :) So we as Filipinos are their ancestor people, and specifically kayo sa Tboli/Blaan tribes, in addition to the Bangsamoro tribes (Meranaw, Magindanawn, Iranun, Tausug, Sama, Yakan etc) and other groups like Subanen, Manuvu, Bagobo, Mansaka etc :) Did you know that the people of the country of Palau say their ancestors came directly from Mindanao too? similar din yung mga words nila to languages on Mindanao. the people of the Philippines fathered and mothered most of Maritime Southeast Asia, and even the Pacific Islands. Please be proud sis, and share this truth! it's backed by anthropologists! :)

Hi Ovela, I used lived in Lake Sebu for more than 1 year, I worked in Punta Isla Lake Resort, where these indigenous people working to entertain the guests of that Resort by showing their culture through dancing, singing, and even playing native (improvised) musical instruments. You noticed Sir, the way she looked at the person who filming her is like she is flirting with him.. That's actually how their facial expression should be.. They also have this courtship/courting dance the facial expression should be like they are flirting to each other, so its pretty normal.. Correct me if I'm wrong, that's only my observation while I am working with them for a year. T'boli people are one of a kind! They are the kindest people you'll ever met, so sweet, very approachable, loving, always smiling, and easy to be with. I have a Best Friend named R-jay Alon he is a T'boli and lived there.. He is so sweet and thoughtful and even the entire family SUPER KIND! Shout out BFF!! I love you!!! I miss you!!!

I'm not T'boli but I am from Mindanao and my tribes' folk singing also sound quite similar to this. It's rare to hear it performed these days, so it's always heartwarming when I hear ppl still performing it during festivities. I'm half and half of two tribes but in both, the songs sound really good but a lot of the times the lyrics are super silly stories, like a guy trying to woo a lady but finding out she's married with 12 kids, or a farmer who runs after his escaped horse and realises he no longer needs one because he's faster so he sells it for better shoes😂

A native Filipina singing native song. We don't see that everytime and everywhere in the Philippines because they are tribes living on highlands and mountain regions of different provinces. I hope Indigenous people of the Philippines would be preserve, native filipinos are slowly losing their original identity as the country is going through fast phase environment which affects their living and culture. Many of Filipino culture had been forgotten and slowly fades in history. One example is their own form of writings. I hope lumad people could continue to flourish with their own native ways despite of modernization of the Philippines.
