Love to see a coach actually cheering his team on, and not just acting like a robot. Also I miss when the tournament was played on the host's actual court, not a generic NCAA floor.

This was one of those games where you remember where you were and how you felt watching this from start to finish. I was a freshman in college living in my first apartment with my girlfriend at the time. Me and my best friend ordered pizza and watched because we live in New Hampshire, so we always would root for the America East team. We were going nuts and couldn't believe what we saw, it was such a moment and felt like a bigger upset than a 14-3...What a game! We didn't even care that it ruined our brackets lol

Yup! Clear as day. I was at home pacing the family room with my hands on my head. When TJ buried that three, I was literally jumping all over the house yelling.

I was at the ECAC mens hockey tournament in Albany. Was there for hockey, but there was a crowd of people watching the game on a small tv in the lobby. I did not see the rest of that hockey game.

I was at a UVM alumni event at a bar in DC shortly after moving from Burlington. The room was insane. There was one Syracuse fan - the boyfriend of a UVM alumn - and he was OBNOXIOUS all game. I'm smiling just thinking of his smug upset face walking out after this. LOL.

That shot is unguardable. You have to concede SOMETHING. If you come out and press right up against him when he's 30 feet away from the basket he'll blow by you for a dunk. So you back off and let him have the wide open 30-footer if he wants it. If he takes it and makes it, it's just not your night.

That’s what I was thinking, by all accounts that’s a terrible shot, about 15 feet away from the 3 point line? Absolutely horrible shot, until it falls. But as a defense there’s nothing you can do. You take an offense shooting that shot hands down any day of the week. But again, when it falls, well that’s just brutal Also, if you’re Syracuse, that is absolutely a time out moment. You can’t let these guys keep going with the momentum from that shot

Normally I'd agree, but if the guy has the range to hit it, you have to close out on him. Remember Dan Majerle? Any time he had the ball across halfcourt, you had to be in his face. If a shooter has range out to 30 feet, you have to be in his hip pocket out to 30 feet.

When a guy has that kind of range, you *must* get in his face. Syracuse got caught sagging off a shooter and he stepped up and drilled a dagger 3. It's the final 90 seconds of overtime, 1-point game, you can't be playing hope defense out there. That's a style of defense where you leave a guy wide open in the hope that he'll miss. Great job by the Catamounts.
