I've been with TMO over 10 years and I have pretty much been happy with them for the most part. I had Metro before they were bought out by TMO as well. I've been really happy with the coverage as well as prices in comparison to what I've seen from AT&T with my friends and family. I'm happy their doing this. He's being like the Elon Musk of Cellphones services. lol.

I have not been with them as long as you have but I'm not sold on this deal yet. T-Mobile has not answered any of the hard questions and so far has been playing on people's national concerns with China. I mean I do agree a combined company can provide better coverage and speeds. However, who will keep them in check as far as priceing, who will make them keep investment up in the network and not just do some form of psuedo 5g like AT&T is trying to market. At the end of the day they are a company and unless I see a contract that gurantees some of the statements being made I will not be fully sold.

I was on Sprint before T-Mobile. Sprint seemed fine and then the management changed and then they got our bills wrong, we lost true unlimited data, customer service was terrible, etc. My family switched to T-Mobile and that's been great. Cingular was very good, and AT&T ruined that after a merger but I don't see that happening with T-Mobile/Sprint.

The problem i see with the new technology is it doesn't help if you do not have enough towers for your customers. Ill give example i am with t mobile and by my job i get 40-70mb a sec. There is mostly companies there and not much residential housing. When i get home i get 5-15mb a sec with the tower being 1 mile away. All residential area very few businesses. When speed drops to less then a1 mb i call customer support to complain and the tower is always congested. So until you can fix this issue then to me new technology doesn't help anything.

I’m with Verizon and switched from T-mobile almost two years ago. Mainly because I use a lot of data and I wasn’t too happy with the speeds. But I T-mobile wasn’t horrible though sprint omg it was bad really bad. I had them a couple of years before t-mobile. I love the Verizon network! I’m often the only one with service if I travel with family and friend. But even with all my love for vz I might check out T-mobile again in couple years from now. I love the T-mobile CEO John! I believe he’s going to really shake things up.

Except Sprint has the faster wider network band... T-Mobile kept their smaller network and just wanted to spread their network and not focus on speeds and reliability. Sprint focused on speeds and reliability and not range. So you put both of those networks together, you literally have the best network you possibly can have.

As a previous Sprint Customer i can assure these merger will screw up T-Mobile customers. When i was a sprint customer i had nothing but lies from their employees and most were extremely rude and in one occasion i was told to leave the store and had to call the police on them, as for service their data is horrible i went back to sprint asking for help multiples times and they always gave the same excuse (we are updating our towers) and i told them this is been happening for two years and still no good service ??? That was the reason why i got kick out of one of their stores because new potential customer were walking out the door when they heard about these issues. Their phone reception if you work near a military base is also non existence. that is the reason why i drop SPRINT and move to T-Mobile but if these merger becomes a reality i am dumping T-mobile And i highly suggested you do the same if you are a T-Mobile customer. Why do you thing their commercial on you tube comment are blocked They know thousands of sprint customer will post negative comments because of their poor service and rude employees.

Then John came & changed the whole Mobil networks. The reason was John, he the only Carrier with a energetic CEO. I had prepaid in UK from 1998 & it started in USA after 2010 because of T Mobil prepaid.

So if millimeter wave technology is not expansive how do you explain reconfiguring a dead Cdma technology that Sprint utilizes to convert an entirely different GSM network of Tmobile? Also there's different options than providing 5g through millimeter wave. There's fiber technology. Something that At&t has an abundant source of, and something that TMobile and Sprint have absolutely do not have.

Charles Sherry So it's really about the cellular "radios" in your phone that recieves the signal. Currently no phones have 5g radios, so you will have to upgrade your device when they make phones available with the correct "radio" to receive a 5G signal. LTE Phones as I understand won't be able to receive 5G signals only LTE.

Let's just say it, it's all about frequency spectrum. The military took 900mhz and 800 mhz from Nextel. Sprint needed TMobile's 700mhz spectrum to push 5g or ?? John even said it in the piece.

Why do all phone service companies, inevitably try to create monopolies? Allowing 3 companies to control a market is not good for consumers, EVER! Samsung, Hynix, and Micron control 96% of the memory market for computers, how is that working out for consumers lately? #price-gouging

What I've seen with AT&T is yes the price is slightly higher than T-Mobile (not by much), and by far better service all over, higher reception, faster data speeds all over all the time. I don't get that with T-Mobile, I never got that with Sprint. Note that they wont talk about lower prices, because the prices WILL GO UP, but likely be less than AT&T and Verizon as they are currently - inflation and innovation will drive prices up anyway, its natural. I pay about $250 more per month TODAY than I did 10 years ago.

Ivest on infrastructure that will keep communication available when a hurricane hits. Florida’s Tmo customers went through Irma last year with NO SERVICE while AT&T and Verizon customers networks were intact.

Eduardo Orama Del Pilar I think if you compare T-Mobile plans and AT&T for just Unlimited you will find T-Mobile will save you about $30 a month at this time. For two lines it's $100 and T-Mobile has 50 GB G4 Unlimited. After 50 gigabytes your throttle bag but 3 months ago AT&T throttle juice bag at 25gb. Big difference. Check it out I hope it save you some money.

Eduardo Orama Del Pilar trust me You pay less with t-mobile But see now my dad was military and now gotten the bill down was at 269 they took 100$ off so if you have someone in the military in your family you can get 50% on your bill and we have a family of 4 and the receptions Awesome with this conjoined companies sprint and t-mobile it's going to get better.. been with t-mobile for more then 15 years. The military family plan made this better.. look at the T-mobile One plan You get hotpot tethering too.

I feel like the perceptions right now is this Verizon- Has the most coverage + expensive AT&T- it’s the best, but expensive and that’s says I’m worth more. Plus they have bundles too. T-Mobile- eww the ghetto network Sprint -xD Reality though Sprint has really well positioned assets for 5G but just sucks at deploying a faithful network and they are really bad with money. Hence, they haven’t been able to build a proper 4G Network since they tried leading with WiMAX and a separate Clearwire buyout, and then had to transition to LTE bc it was the standard. Again they somehow really sucked at that. T-Mobile only got a pass in their LTE rollout bc they got cash and spectrum from the breakup fee with AT&T’s planned merger. They put that to work quickly and got more cash to develop a formidable network. I’ll be honest I’m a T-Mobile customer but I couldn’t be happier. I went to Canada and I still had signal bc of the Roaming agreements and in the U.S I have pretty good coverage. Plus the unlimited data goes way further than with the rest. 50GB per line! I don’t ever have to use that much bc I’m not watching tv all day. Just 2/3. And really I prefer my internet at home. A stable 350+ mbps just beats every LTE network right now. I expect T-Mobile after the merger is still going to be shooting for more money by adding subs. And for that they’ll need the absolute lowest prices. Nobody gives anybody a chance unless it’s a new industry. The name of the game is to add subs. More importantly the newly merged T-Mobile will have the right assets to launch the 5G they are advertising, but more importantly Sprint is doomed on its own. It fell from 3rd to 4th and it’s been planning to lead since like 2007 with WiMAX (4G). That’s horrible! My bet is T-Mobile is still going to have to go against the idea that they are simply cheap. The snobs that say they’ll never switch and laugh are the next ones in line to import their lines because T-Mobile will really have the best laid out 5G. If people are looking for dependable that is. The 600MHz layout will cover the continental U.S and the 2.4 GHz spectrum that Sprint holds will be for added and turbocharged capacity where it’s really needed. Urban areas. It’ll make way into rural communities but not when it’s cost prohibitive. And that’s just the rule every player is going to follow anyway. That’s my extra long opinion anyhow.

Won't happen. AT&T only wants to buy companies and take them over. THEN those companies get ran over and people fired. Stratton from Verizon won't be bought out. Sprint and T-Mobile were smart and merged. They didn't buy each other. AT&T and Verizon won't merge because both companies are too greedy.

If sprint really does go away after the merger? The new T-Mobile should atleast still keep the sprint logo as a turbocharger. Also since boost also have that logo as well... That let people know that sprint is migrated as part of the new T-Mobile. It's just be fair. Also be cooler like nobody has ever done that with their company's logo except for sprint towards boost logo...
