I don't understand these signals. Sorry, I don't speak that language. Is there a difference between these red lights, the red lights there and the other red lights? Two different bell sounds? I'm pretty confused from watching this video.... Why that crossing is so complicated?? I would think: Red means to me: "stop! - train!" - Only one red light and one bell sound would do that job... What do the yellow sign below the red lights mean?

The yellow lights indicate which railroad has a train approaching that crossing. If you look at nimo5's videos on this crossing, it used to be a little different. Anyway... The bottom yellow lights and mechanical bell are for the Ichibata railroad (電車 means "electric train", as Ichibata uses catenary power) that operates across Shimane Prefecture (including Izumo, where this crossing is located), while the top yellow lights and electronic bell are for JR West's San'in Main Line (汽車 means "a train"; not all of this line uses 100% electric rolling stock). I'm not exactly sure why they constructed the crossing like this, but there seems to be at least one other like it that was also covered by nimo5.
