So at the 18:20 mark, the reason was finally communicated that the player was most likely released because her contract would be fully guaranteed mid way into the season. So looks like the Sky's management made a business decision and they waived her because they didn't want to pay her.

It's not TSpoon's job to give anybody meaningful minutes. The players have to EARN it. Practice is where it's earned. Kysre should have seized the moment when Dana was effing up. Set yourself apart, and she did not do that. Player not coaches fault. Teams don't generally carry 12. They reserve that spot for emergency signings. So more players may get cut before the deadline.

The salaries seem so unfair. Angel is putting up numbers and is the lowest paid on the team while benchwarmers are paid 6 figure salaries. That’s crazy.

I just started watching Sky games recently. I wanted to see Kysre the most.

Kysre can shoot, but not really during in-game action. She's a sub 30% shooter from the field and from 3, on the WNBA level. Kysre is essentially a warm-up All American. A player that flat out didn't miss shots in the pre game, but can't shoot during the game. Like T'ea Cooper, who was a better overall player, neither could knock down the 3 ball on the WNBA level. I wish Kysre all the best. And keep doing those Tik Toks

I'm going to be honest, the Sky team is full of dawgs. Even with Dana going through this little thing (don’t know what to call it lmao) she’s still a dawg. I do not think Kysre is a dawg, or at least not in the way that TSpoon needs her to be. I am a bit bias because of my love for tspoon, so I think she knows what shes doing. But also tspoon has certain things she drills into their heads, i am assuming that Kyrse just wasn't pulling enough weight in practice too

I really would like to have seen Kysre in action for the Sky. There have been a number of opportunities for that to have happened. What's with these coaches? The Aces cut Fair, Fever cut Celeste, and now the Sky shows Kysre the door. Sides and Weatherspoon, I'm not surprised because sometimes it seems like they're in over their heads. Becky on the other hand, I was really surprised... Keeping Bell and Syd (whom I love!) still has me puzzled... Back to the Sky - I was just so hoping that they would at least have given Kysre a chance with her 3 point skills. Oh well.😔

I don’t like that move. Kysre Gondrezick seems like with more minutes she would have been a problem from the 3. I thought they were going to work her into the lineup not let her go. She stood out in the preseason I think she made her first two 3’s finished 3 out of 4 from the 3 in 12 minutes. It was garbage time Chicago already had the win but Kysre Gondrezick stood out. She could have got a lot of open shots because teams double Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso.

This is a big problem in the W. Why even draft these women if they don't get a chance to showcase their talent. You can have all the talent in the world, but you still need the opportunity to get real game touches to build chemistry with their team. It's as if they are drafting these women mostly for marketing purposes on draft day.

I love Dana too as a casual cards fan but she does make a lot of questionable decisions on the court. She just gets flustered and makes some mistakes. e.g., not using her teammates, bad passes, bad shot clock management. Lindsay is GREAT at running an offense. She’s great at getting the team involved and using our weapons like Cardoso and Reese. Also her defense against the aces was 😮‍💨. She’s a great veteran guard for this team. Kysre does need to go oversees to develop her game some more. Work on her defense and catch and shoot scoring. She’s so talented I would like to continue watching her in the league! Maybe Toronto would be a good home for her in the W. 🤔but I could also see her just working in the media and not play professionally.

Alexis is like Chennady Carter. Similar personalities. She could play the point and Chennady the 2. They need a shooter period. Mabrey not consistent but she is productive. Izzy gotta get better shooting. Angel gotta stabilize under the basket. Too many missed shots. Angel could be a 20-12-2-2.

Why the coaches wasn’t letting Kysre play throughout the season how you cut someone after a month. Since Elizabeth is out for rest of the season we got 10 active players now they coaches and Sky organization made a big mistake to get rid of Kysre. Should’ve gotten rid of MichaelaOnyewere or BriannaTurner. Dana and Diamond offense has been completely off they not scoring more points. Yes, Athlete Unlimited was in Dallas. I went to several games and was introduced to several WNBA players who I recognize now that the season has started.

@Quita...as an avid and informed WNBA fan, do you think there is any credence in the small claims by some women in the WNBA that as straight, feminine (they are all feminine as they are all women, but maybe some who lean way more into that femininity in a way that is attracting the kind of male gaze or marketing gaze that can spark envy) players they are targeted or maligned by certain coaches or players in power who don't respect that aspect of being a female athletes or woman? I'm not saying Kysre is some super talent, but Candace Wiggins, Skylar Diggins and some other women who have had issues once dealing with pregnancy or living their loves in what seems to be "normal" but getting a kind of dismissal given the talent fans think they have. Kyrse goes from scoring 40ppg in High School to Being a capable scorer in college to never getting a real shot?? Her shooting percentages are deceiving as she never received real minutes or had a rhythm. To get cut as a #4 pick late in the season is odd...then no play in 2 season to get toyed with again...The Sky made sure her face and image was all over the place as a draw, but Spoon couldn't find minutes when others are obviously struggling to score and help their interior players?? Just doesn't feel good as a fan of basketball to think there is some gross bias on certain players that has less to do with the game. I rock with Spoon, so it would be really weird that she chose to hamstring Kyrse for personal reasons...I could also see if people look at her and question if she takes the game as seriously because she is moving and shaking in way that seems to be about promoting herself as a brand than fighting for minutes on the court. I can't find any real interviews from her to tell her story and this thing with her bouncing from NBA to NBA player is way more prominent in her story than her own game or perspective...your thoughts on this or a video on this aspect of WNBA that has Kyrse, Tea Cooper and even what was happening to Lexie Brown outside of her health issues...just weird...I also don't like what's happening with Rickea Jackson in LA...
