Almost 20 years later and still amazed. One of the best if not the Best Classical Viola Player Alive. The Concertgebouw Orchestra was spectacular as well.

The name of the conductor should have been given as well as the fact that this is the completion by Tibor Serly although she and the conductor make some corrections and alterations based on recent research.

That sould be in the description as well as the edition of the concerto. There's quite a difference between each edition.

@@scottgilesmusicthe edition used is the published Serly version but the conductor and soloist remove some measures in a few places that were added by Serly as well as correct some wrong notes, and they also alter the viola part to conform more closely to Bartok's manuscript.(I own a facsimile of the manuscript.)More recently, this violist has started using a newer version by Nelson Dellamaggiore who was commissioned by Peter Bartok to make a new completion in 1995. I prefer the published Serly version, although the Erdelyi version isn't bad probably because he rips off Serly's version for about 85 percent of his orchestration.
