Really impressed with the thought that went into this. Can't wait to see the other colorways. I think the addition of the RCA caps was a really nice add-in, that was something I purchased for mine, and for the cost to include I think customers are going to appreciate the convenience. If I could make a suggestion - perhaps you could punch a small hole in the shipping foam that would allow the foam to be stacked over the shifter in the 4runner. I used the box upside down over that, but if the foam could be layered over that area to provide a soft worksurface that's another one of those low/no cost value adds!

Demand is extremely high and we are looking 2/3 weeks eta. Demand is growing by the way because people were skeptical and once they are seeing units are popping up left and right in the headunit group (link to join in description) they are being confident , it’s always the case with newer units … hope this helps

Till now, this is by far the best build out there. If you follow it install video and tidy up the wires as mentioned. It’s all in the tiding up the wires to have the best fitment and no touch issues aka ghosting.

These units are way supierior than anything Toyota makes since the T102.1 . No one ever said or complained about the quality of the plastic of the headunit , on the contrary; they love it

That's the best looking head unit I've seen by far for the 4R. It ticks all of the boxes. I have a Sony XAV-AX8100 that has been great, but the fitment and the fact the screen hovers outside of the trim on a short mount bothers me. The top edges of the screen on the Sony also block almost half of the A/C vents so even if the T12v2 has smaller vents with 2x 90 degree bends, it would either be the same flow or more in my case.

Absolutely the best! You’re right. Don’t worry about the vents , they are way more than fine. No one complained if and when installed correctly and sealed as mentioned, especially me that I love cold vs hot weather … Sony is an amazing brand , all my TV’s are Sony and LG but they stopped doing car audio long time ago. It’s outdated . We are in a world of mobility . So these headunits dominate the market . Thanks for the comment and support , cheers !

Loving the look of this unit! I have a couple questions. Does this head unit have screen mirroring? Also, does it have any options for gauges for engine temps, and oil temps, etc? Lastly, what are options for different camera options? Does it have options to add a front facing camera and such? Thank you!

Hey, sorry for the late reply, this was hurried under too many comments for some reason. So apologies on tardiness . You can achieve all gauges , temp and so on by adding an OBDII , like we have added since the T9 in the headunit group , Link to join in description of video. It does have screen mirroring but who needs screen limited sluggish mirroring when you can unleash the power of the unit when using standalone and or CarPlay. Yes you can add front camera and more . Thank you 🙏 Mine’s are visible, it’s a matter of where and how the polarization is done . We have a full post about that in the headunit group since 2018+ my cheap glasses from Amazon don’t show it, my Raybans do, my Gucci doesn’t , my Prada’s don’t , so it’s a matter of how the prescription glasses were done .

Can u do a in depth review of the interface? If you have a front camera, can you view it while you’re driving? Is there an app or shortcut to trigger it? Can you show the backup camera running as you drive?

I do not have the anytime backup camera but yes , like multiple members, admins and mods have front camera . You can either trigger or press the aux app to preview. In dept interface will come later , with the initial setup of the headunit , that I will do 🔜, fallen behind because I had to leave to Vancouver for an event with Epson / Bluestar. Yes you can also show the rear view camera while running, the sky is the limit with these units.

Love the design, quality and responsiveness of the unit. My only question is Does it change the way it sounds from the original JBL unit system ? Does it lower the audio quality in any way? Does it bring an internal amp to help compensate?

Thank you 🙏! Actually doesn’t matter 2014-2019 JBL not not. Same harness , 2010-2013 different harnesses , you choose from the drop down menu, according to your oem, doesn’t lower at all sound quality, it’s actually way stronger than oem. There’s an internal built in DSP and you can control individually each output .

Apple CarPlay is great. No disconnect , unless Apple updates their iOS and you need to update iOS . It’s a cycle every time they update. Even my OEM CarPlay’s do it. Thanks for the comment and support. Exclusive 10% coupon sent ! Cheers

How are customizable is the eq and sound? I have a nice kenwoods but I really like the Sz and look of this.

@@mariochang1867 it has a built in DSP and an EQ. 2 pages of EQ. Either sub and amp out. And pre set EQ’s as well.

Hey sev any plans in the future for inproving or doing a redesign of the T10 v2.1? Imma big fan of that design for my 2011 sr5. Been getting my finances in order before i start pulling the trigger on upgrading and modernizing this dinosaur 🦕🦖

Hey, so the V2.1 is exactly like oem , I won’t think it will get any refreshes . It’s the perfect oem unit to have in there. It’s exactly as the 2020+ models .

Hey, sorry for the late reply! I was heading home 12H drive straight. Sim will be available again July 15th. It’s for having a dedicated data for your headunit if that’s what you want , in your truck. Front facing camera, I suggest licking up any AHD or UHD or 1080p from Amazon. I do have one but not High res.

I have a 2014 Trail Edition and the clock also displays my multi terrain selection. It's there a way to use the clock with the T12 V2? I'm in love with this look and the a/c vent relocation.

Unfortunately it covers the clock :( so even if you leave it installed . You can’t see it 😔

Nice screen! I see it comes with an external mic, and it also has an internal mic built into the headunit itself.. Can I connect the OEM mic to this unit instead of using the mic that's built in to the headunit? I know that disabling the built-in mic on the T10 headunits by modifying the T10's circuitboard has helped to reduce noise issues when using the mic.

Thanks 🙏 Not for now; you cannot connect to the oem mic . Although, I presume you saw my posts on the headunit group that I’m working on a harness to tap into the oem amped mic. So it may be in the future .

Nope , it’s oem but that screen makes a huge difference, also lighting is a huge factor for oem backup camera quality .

Looks amazing! Might have to order one to replace my Dasaita. Was looking at the Silver Gray & 8+256G version. Is this compatible with a 2016 Limited 4Runner? Also, what brand of SIM card do you recommend? Edit: Does the silver gray color of this head unit match the silver gray trim of the 4Runner?

Nothing matches 💯 % because already the 4Runner interior silver has different shades. It’s between gunmetal and silver ish . It mix and matches perfectly.
