@@andrejzizenstock9067 Because it's seen as poor sportsmanship and so people generally avoid it. Sheep can spawn it awful places sometimes. People want to win a clean match. Now it some tournaments laming is allowed but then it's like well all bets are off, we're trying to win a tournament not improve as players.

Good or Bad thing

I feel the same. As someone who spectates a lot, I'm always a little heartbroken when I see Japanese, Vikings, Incas, and other civs with amazing Infantry bonuses, and their Plan A is archers. It'd be one thing if these civs started with infantry and fell back on archers as a counter or a backup, but no: these civs so frequently go archers first, and infantry only if it's an emergency.

The problem is that to properly counter them during Feudal, you have to invest food into scouts or skirms, which is a terrible idea because it will make your castle age way later. The only realistic option to counter them is to match archers in feudal so you dont spend the food, or get to castle quickly and either build knights or mangonels. I propose Infantry: Get more pierce armor in feudal Have squires and arson rolled into the MAA upgrade Have the ability to build early rams in feudal Reduce food cost of scouts and replace that with some wood cost Make Skirms cost less food Then make knights a researched tech (so they cant just fast castle and spam knights to completely counter your feudal pressure) Make archers slower than infantry so they can be chased down Roll Supplies into the LS upgrade The idea is to make MAA an actual threat in Feudal Age that can fully win the game if not reponded to properly, and dethrone archers as the defacto unit to build by inrpoving their counters.

@@justalonesoul5825 that's kinda silly. First, it's a game and the focus is gameplay and balance, not realism. Secondly, medieval armour weighs much less than you'd think and it's distributed over your body. It doesn't weigh one down terribly.

You need Onager to cut trees i.e. need to upgrade from Mangonel. It is quite costly, 800 food 500 gold, so no one will click that upgrade only to cut enemy trees.

And you can only research in Imperial Age

A 4v4 game lasts longer and has more players so you see more onagers, while 1v1 games end faster so you see less of them

Better if you could toggle before finishing building it

Wouldn't be good for beginners, but it would be great as a toggle to enable for the better players.

Huscarl vs knights and axemen don't seem like a great option. Maybe for raiding, but i think he wanted to use the res for different things

Huskarls eat archers and tarpit towers and castles. But they don't do much else. Goths get decent archers, and eventually hand cannons, which back up cheaper infantry nicely, but struggle with pop cap, you can make an army inexpensively but you need so many houses to do so. Meanwhile throwing axes kind of counter your army as a whole. But cost extra, so I presume with archer use you trim them down and support the Swords and Spear lines. Your Calvary work fine. But will lose to franks. But yeah. Huskarls are a powerful tool, but aren't going to beat anything the Franks want to use.

Huskarls against what, the famed Frankish crossbows? They're a niche unit and the niche was never going to be here.

I'm very on the fence about giving Goths more buffs considering how borderline unstoppable they are in the late game.

they only really co-cast for tournaments. They each have their own channels and income streams, casting together wouldn't double views/income but would mean revenue would have to be split. Sorry, not at all realistic. All that said, I also disagree with the premise of the statement. The whole point of these casts is entertainment and variety. It's fine to ramble or chat about random stuff when there's nothing going on in dark age.
