Ah yes Sir wood dust is a fire starter risk in a shop glad your getting on top of it . Blessings

Blow everything out with a compressor once you get a majority of the saw dust out

Once upon a time I had a large table saw which had quite a lot of use over 3 or 4 years of home renovation and other projects. 3 or more times a year I cleaned out the cabinet area and air blew everything on the mechanisms and motor cooling fan area etc. I think with some folks it may an out of sight, out of mind thing or just not caring. Question, were you able to determine what the ignition source was to cause the fire in the sawdust?

Thanks for taking the time to share! Oh yeah, cutting some large, bendy oak. got hot enough to light the cut itself! Embers went down and lit up in the uncleared pile underneath. No big fire, just a big, smoky pile of embers that had to be removed. glad it didn’t happen at the end of the day, no telling how bad it would have been later on. Lesson learned.
