So I’m first time country living and my burn barrel was the first thing I bought. Is all these plastics and cardboard ash and such ok to put in my garden or at least an area in the corner of my property and it won’t hurt my yard? I’ve been burning in this barrel for about 4months and it’s finally full. I’m just wondering where I can dump all this ash.

That bottom rail is absolutely to high the pickets will have now choice but to bow in and twist even the second section as well, you need a post off that shed.

When I say stringers, I mean the ones in the hull that run parallel to the centerboard on both sides.

I recently came to own a very old Daysailer. It has all the hallmarks of your boat, simulated board lines in the deck, boxed in areas behind the seats, wooden seats. These are things you don't see on the later boats. It is difficult to date these boats because there are no hull numbers, but the sail number which came with the boat is 86, and there were about 12,000 Daysailers made. I am thinking it is a 1958, since they made roughly 300 per year. My boat has the same damage your's does in the same spot in the cuddy. I thought it might have been carelessly flipped, or had a tree hit it, but after seeing yours, perhaps it is just a weak point in the boat. Later models have a pronounced lip in that area. I see you have stringers in your boat. These are absent from mine and the tone of the hull is very floppy in that area for my boat. I am considering coring it. It has been some time since you posted, so maybe you ran out of steam or sold off the boat? I am curious as to what became of it.

Leach field protection I place two signs warning of new leach field stay off A contractor electric truck decided it’s ok they were excluded from the law of physics. Bottom line they agreed to repair my new field without giving me grief when I took a pic of one of the signs they ran over lol😅 life is full of surprises

That’s fantastic using old telephone poles like that now that’s true recycling to the core . I use old poles for trespassing ATV’s or bikes whom don’t believe in private property rights . Really like the reuse of the poles idea
