Hi, Miss Mary, I just turned on your channel with your story of being gifted a new Bernina sewing machine. Years ago (50+) when first married, I took sewing courses at our local college from the most wonderful instructor who continually praised the Bernina. Eventually, I was able to own my own Bernina. It was the most basic model at that time, but still able to do everything I could possibly need. My Bernina is still going strong, having had one problem only when a power surge caused it to visit the Bernina repair doctor. I know you will love this machine forever. Okay, first I gotta say, the kindness that someone and the sewing store showed you was so sweet that tears came into my eyes! 🥺 How humbling to be blessed by such a thoughtful act. You are so fortunate to have access to a sewing machine store! Around here there are no repairmen unless you drive several hours or ship the machine to them. After thirty-three years my machine finally bit the dust so I broke down and bought a newer one. However, unlike you, I had to learn the new machine with the manual and videos. You’re so lucky to have been able to take a class! Sewing outside??? Mind blown! 🤯 Why haven’t I ever thought of that??? Your table scapes are gorgeous! So fresh and simple. You should have your own TV show because instead of spending a bazillion dollars to look like a magazine you use what’s available or what can be bought in expensively. Thank you for that! I have to tell you what a blessing you are to so many including me. Please keep making these wonderful videos. I am 73 years old and caretaker to my 74 year old husband who has had multiple sclerosis for over 40 years and had 2 major strokes last year . My days are needles to say very stressful. All I have to do is sit down and watch one of your videos and I become so relaxed. I love the beautiful landscape around you and your peaceful music. I've learned a couple of things over the years, it is better to give than to receive and you bless the giver by being a gracious receiver--and you are very gracious. Also a few years ago someone did something nice for me that changed my life and not knowing who to thank I prayed "Lord I don't know who to thank but you do so please bless this person in a special way today for me" but I think maybe you already understand this!

All three tablescapes were absolutely lovely. Mary,, you are such a wonderful and talented woman. I don't want to diminish the generosity of the gift at all but I do have a point I'd like to make. I have seen on various KZfaq vlogs creators getting gifts from their subscribers. The little things that are given are usually fun and cute and blend in with the creator's decor. It's the larger more expensive items that I really don't understand. You are a hardworking, creative businesswoman, Mary, and I think your products are wonderful. That's what your blog's about...earning income through KZfaq and the products you sell. Clearly, you are a business not a non-profit. And yet your subscriber and store owner chose to gift you with an expensive machine. I guess some people have the funds to support up and coming businesses and that's a good thing to do. That gift is certainly a blessing and acknowledgment of the good and industrious person you are but shouldn't their money go to a charity instead? I'm not picking on you here, Mary. I'm looking at the larger picture that includes several creators of vlogs that are similar to yours. Perhaps the donor does both... gives to a business owner they like and to a charity. Maybe that's the point I'm missing. It's just with all the turmoil and illness we're experiencing these days it seems that the money would have been helpful to any charity of their choice. I'll stick with the idea that generous donors to KZfaq creators do both. They support businesses they like and the charity of their choice. Just a thought.
