I just brought one home. First I cleaned it and ran the slide manually about 100 times before shooting. It ran Freedom munitions 115 RNFP, 135 RNFP. 124 gr ball reloads and Freedom 135 gr defensive ammo. I ran 2 mags of each with no hiccups. I'm very pleased with the gun.

Just got mine today. Fairly pleased so far . Few FTF’s when using ball ammo. Stock magazine is sub par in my opinion as it fails to hold the slide open when using lighter loads. Also, you better understand 1911s though as the manual in the box tells you how to disassemble a full length pistol with bushing. Disassembling this pistol takes some hand strength! And with a trigger pull weight of 7 pounds, it hardly resembles a 1911! For the money though, it’s a decent value.

For those of us who are newer newish to this it would be nice to have camera down closer for close ups on which way the rod sits. After taking apart my gun the slide lock pin won’t go back in all the way. I had the holes line up and I know it’s a tight tolerance but this is ridiculous. Wish close ups were there to see what you did. Other than that great video. Tomorrow it’ll go to gunsmith to reassemble.

Sorry about that, on that gun it was a little bit difficult and I do apologize you're having trouble. If I still had one I would make a video just for that.

@@TheJimminiShow I feel stooopid that when I went to gun shop my buddy looked at it an in a second saw that once putting the slide lock lever pin in hole to keep it there you pull out slightly and then pull slide further back to the small notch then push it in. I’m a newbie but thank Gawd I didn’t break my newly purchased gun but I think some cerakote will have to be repainted down the line. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE AMAZING VIDEO.

I have the .45 ACP model. Great little pistol and easy to carry. And Dude-stop biting your damn nails. Looks terrible! GOOD VID-Thanks! 🤓👍

@@TheJimminiShow thanks.. i ask you because on eaa site they have the ultimate with what it seems a rms type of optic(looks like a shield rms clone) sitting directly on the slide cut without any plates. Btw another question. What type of barrel it use? I know specs says a 3.4 bull barrel but it dont mention what type of ramp it has.. just wondering if barrel could be upgraded later on... Thanks in advance.

The only thing I found on them is the poor job they do with the grip safety mounting! It's horrible! Other than that they seem to be ok.OK. just to much slop and gap between the frame and grip

You lost half you disassembling below the screen! Dropped out of site! I have a Girsan MC1911 Match Elite that I am trying to disassemble! Would you be able to show me how! Having trouble getting the spring out!

Yours may have the hole in the guide rod. If you rack the slide and lock it back, you will have to look at the rod and see if there is a small hole in it. If so, you need to use a strong paper clip to hold the spring in a compressed state. The Ultimate is a Smaller gun (only officer size) so it does not have the same spring as the Elite Match. I do not have one to show you on, sorry

I have a Fusion Firearms Bantam and I also had that same problem of the spring and guide rod difficult to get out and then back in again. I finally noticed the end screw in the guide rod had come loose and had backed itself out enough to make removal and assembly difficult. Once I realized the problem and corrected it, I haven't had any issues since. Hope that helps some
