I just finished watching the 1st episode, it's a masterpiece. The writing is so poetic. Definitely the best thing I gazed upon since the Game of thrones. Perhaps even better.

One of the best series out there. Very clever, strategic and manipulative. A series which if you watch for a second time, you will still find things that alluded you, because it lets you figure out some of the happenings on your own. 10/10

Honestly one of the best if not the best show I have ever watched. Personally, when I finished episode 3 I knew this is the real deal.

Just finished watching the first season. Jonathan Pryce is a wonderful villain! Really enjoy the strategist in Tom Hardy’s character and although he is most definitely savage at times, its so lovely he still has good manners. “Good Morning” “Good Evening” Good Day to you” 😆😆. Such a gem to unwrap with all its delicious layers.

I watched the first episode of this out of interest and was instantly hooked. Watched all 8 episodes over 2 days and am hanging for the next season. I don't usually watch serial TV but Taboo was perfectly brilliant. I like Tom Hardy and have seen most of his work and he was great in Taboo. If you get the chance to watch then I highly recommend that you do. Trust me, it's one of the best shows of this year and like me you'll be begging to see what happens next.

Look, I just discovered this show is very close to us, so... yeah, I'm gonna watch it. The cast is amazing, the scale feels huge, the cinematography is absolutely marvelous and also, there's Die Hardy (I like to call him that way), man, I just love Tom Hardy, the guy is just so beyond awesome.

So hyped for season 2.. I want it :D

Just watched the first episode .. wow,, this guy is something else!

I love this series. It shows the true colors of the anglo-saxon world; Its ruthless colonization methods and how England is such a powerful country these days. All because of the Protestant predestination theories which gave the anglo-saxons apportunity to prey on other nations. You can actually see it today. They still treat no-anglo-saxon people like under-humen.

Just watched the first episode. It's already got me hooked.

Watching this on BBC i-Player at the moment. ...and it is really VERY good! 🤔 Set in 1814 London, it really captures the seedy, fog-infested atmosphere, of those dangerous times. Lots of scenes set on the Thames foreshore, so it feels very "close" to me, as someone who has spent a lot of time on the banks of the Thames over the years, and who's family worked on the river, and lived right on the banks for many generations. Tom Hardy is excellent as a troubled son returning from Africa to inherit a small piece of land on the yet-to-be-drawn Canadian/U.S border, the ownership of which, is the desire of both the all-powerful East India Company...AND the fledgling United States of America, because it holds the key to trade-routes to China. Jonathan Pryce plays an excellent "baddie" as top dog at the East India Company, and Stephen Graham plays a nicely-untrustworthy "fixer". I can highly recommend this show, if you enjoy well-written, and acted, Regency-period drama, with a definitely different-slant to the usual meek Jane Austin fare of the same period. Pride and Prejudice...it ISN'T! 🤣🤔
