I just bought a 2022 Ridgeline and am very impressed with how it rides and runs. Its a super solid ride and greatly functional. I drove all the midsize trucks and none of them came close. I dont do major off roading, I just travel old farm and gravel roads. It is more than capable of towing a camping trailer and a boat. That is all i need.

The specs for the top model Ridgeline are insane. Built into the bed are 6 weather proof speakers, a cooler with a drain plug with slots for separating beer from food, and a power outlet for a tv. This is a tailgating/camping dream truck. Not to mention the Honda Tent fits a Queen sized air mattress and comes with zippered access ports for the cooler, back window and power outlet. You can even fit a 4x8 Sheetrock flat because the beautifully engineered bed is flat. And did I mention it has a dual action lockable tailgate with free crayons and coloring books 😂

Nissan makes a strong V6! Love the VQ engines!

Andre is RIGHT! The interior space and width of the Ridgeline (and Pilot, passport) is something you'll appreciate, but won't realize it until going back to smaller or normal cars.

My wife has a Honda Pilot (she allows me to drive it once in a while) with the same drivetrain as the Ridgeline, I have to say I,m not surprised with the results we’ve been very impressed with the power and rock solid reliability

Go Ridgeline! I have the 2021 Black Edition Ridgeline. I absolutely love it! Everyone who says that it is a car with a truck on top, is wrong. The new 2021 has changed completely. I had a 2020 Chevy Colorado Z71. I had the manufacture "buy it back" because it turned out to be a lemon. In the 7 months that I owned it, it was in the shop for a total of 94 days and it only had about 3K miles! I have now had my Ridgeline for 7 months, and it has been in the shop for "0" days! It now has over 5K miles. I am very happy with this purchase.

I got Ridgeline 2022 , I love it. A lot of power , fun and very comfortable to drive.

The Jeep Gladiator is one of those cars that actually feels faster. It’s the shift to third that slow the 0-60 time. The sensation on road is pretty quick. Thanks

Ridgeline is a good vehicle, but the style is just not my cup of tea.

There’s a reason the Gladiator still is not crash tested by the IIHS. Take a look at the Wrangler and remember how long it took for those results to be released. Most crash test results are within the first model year.

I love my Ridgeline. I checked out all the competition with the exception of the new Frontier and I am happy with my decision. It suits my family and I's everyday needs just fine!

Well I knew from the title before watching that the two fastest the Gm twins and the Ranger were not there, then be default the Ridgeline becomes the fastest, unless it is a trick question, I remember C&D saying the Frontier was the fastest of any truck, as in it had the highest top speed before the governor kicks in.

I had the Tacoma and loved it . Just didn’t care for the power on it . I work for Honda & love the comfort and quality of it . Great job guys! Btw I’m driving a new Passport and love it . After I buy my house I’m getting the baddest full size truck and I am definitely looking for your input. ZR2 Silverado ?

The Ridgeline has practically, it rides smooth, and it's quite in the cabin I think I'll be checking it out soon as I'm going to be shopping for a mid size truck the Ridgeline and the Colorado are the ones in mind right now

Gas prices are getting crazy again i hope the top auto makers start making small trucks again a real small compact 4x4 with a small v6 and 4 cyl options

Love my Ridge. Have to pack my friends in it to go to the hunt cabin off a logging road , they wont take there big tar baby trucks there.

I Loved The Frontier.

Should've included the Chevy Colorado because it's actually the most powerful in class if you opt for the factory "power package", which is a cold air intake and catback exhaust (forum guys seem to estimate it'll add like 10-15HP). Seeing as this is an OEM, from-the-factory option, I think including it is valid.

The Honda is a very nice truck. They ride great, tow well and carry a hell of a lot of crap. The trunk below the bed make it a great choice for most people. Great video gentleman.

Hey huge fan here I have watched most of your videos and alot of the midsize truck videos. I know people ask why you drag race midsized trucks but personally I'm very interested in seeing those results. Have you guys ever drag raced a Colorado and a ranger? Personally I think the ranger is the quickest midsize correct me if I'm wrong. Also interested in seeing the frontier race other midsized trucks. Can't wait keep them coming!

Ok guys so where are the Ranger an GM Twins? In my Colorado Crew Cab 4x4, V6, came stock with 308 hp 271 lbs ft. TQ. Then I added a K&N CAI, in all black polymer, plus Borla exhaust. Now before I ran a timed 0-60 run in 7.1 sec. Then I went back with the added intake and exhaust, running without any tune and reg gas I then ran 6.7 sec! That was at a local 1/4 mile dragway in central Florida, called Sebring International Raceway. Where I just happened to be camping just down the road from, three days after installing the CAI and exhaust. So I emptied everything out of my truck an went to see. I was able to make two runs in stock production truck class. I was pleasantly surprised to improve so much with both mods. But the extra noise does get tiring after a while towing. But 0-60 in 6.7 twice, plus a best out of two 1/4 miles at 15.6/96 mph is dam good! Running with traction control off, stability control off at start, plus tow/haul mode activated. Then the next day hooked up to my Grey Wolf 24 JS and drove home.

I had a 2013 Ridgeline Sport, it was a great vehicle. The only bad thing about the new Ridgeline is how shallow the bed is. Nobody mentions it during reviews. It is probably half the depth as the other midsize trucks. You can't haul very much in the bed, even though it has a higher weight capacity.

I was surprised how 'slow' the Frontier was. But when you look into it, the Frontier is as heavy as a base model crew cab F150 lol. Even the now-segment old boy Colorado is over 300lbs lighter. Even the ZR2 is lighter and an SV crew cab 4x4 Frontier. The next closest curb weight is the Gladiator and it's 150lbs lighter too. I think Ridgelone is the lightest of them all. The Ridgeline update looks great, but they NEED to ditch those ridiculous fender flares haha. Scale them down to 50%. Same with the black plastic rockers. That plastic trick may work on a crossover to make it look 'rugged' but this is nasty

Not too surprising, I'm sure the Ridgeline is the lightest. The most surprising is how close the others were to each other. I wonder what a Ranger or Colorado would do... Fun video!

My '95 Nissan hard body did it in 9 seconds with only 150 hp. Just shows you how much midsize trucks weigh now.

From experience the midsized trucks are the ones that want to race me the most especially Tacomas🤷‍♂️. I have a regular cab 5.7 Tundra 😂

I love my ridgeline. And choose it over the a new tocoma because I needed a everyday diver that is comfortable on long trips with more room because I’m 6’3. Plus the interior is simple and easy to clean and just less to worry about. I also knew it’s faster then the tocoma having driven one. The Honda had me sold a long time ago and after the warranty expires I’m hopeful going to make a bad ass turner out of it with a twin turbo mod. I’ve bee man ahuge fan of Honda for decades and I want to show the world how they are different.

What midsize truck can best fit plywood in the bed (4x8) I’m a carpenter and always looking to get plywood/sheet rock and want to move to a midsize

The jeep is the only one with a solid front axle. If you wheel it hard then that is the best choice. Otherwise they all work well.

Id consider the ridgeline, but it has too many annoyances (adaptive cruise shuts off at 25 mph, bed depth under the tonneau cover is less than a foot and a half) and interior tech looks like it’s straight out of 2008. Honda can do better, and currently does in other vehicles, idk why they dont modernize the RL more

I had a Ridgeline a loved it. However I definitely needed more power for towing my 5000 Lb travel trailer. I now have a Toyota Tundra 5.7.

You can get a Ram tradesman 1500 classic quad cab 4x4 v6 with lots of extras for less than all these midsized trucks here mine cost 39 k 😀 and it tows more and rides better up to you I guess 😉

Andre is the man. All the trucks are nice and the Honda Toyota and Nissan can last 200,000 miles or more. Pentastar makes good power and is a fun engine until it has its major breakdown.

Hopefully Honda puts their turbo Civic motor in the Ridgeline soon then its really game over

Ironically I will sell it soon as I am needing a truck and camper, instead of a truck pulling a camping trailer. I ordered a 22 F150 Lariat SuperCab 5.0 (nostalgia and pure sound based decision. I know it’s the slowest of the group (3.3 doesn’t exist in my world, haha) but it does have a great payload. It will be a designated camping truck. I have several other vehicles I can use otherwise. I actually have a steel floor in my 67 C10 so I use it quite a lot to haul stuff. SuperCab is my favourite configuration. I went with the Pro-Power Onboard to power the camper and even the A/C as it’s a 5,000 btu stand alone A/C unit. The camper will be a Canopy by Four Wheel Campers, Project M. I like midsize trucks a lot, but have full-size needs!! Still loving my Bronco 4 door Badlands, High. The hardtop is basically quiet!! So far,,,,,. 5,000 km on it already. Like it better than my 2020 Wrangler Rubicon 4 door diesel! That was faster and a nicer powertrain, but the interior,,,,,,,, nuh uh! Big difference here.

The fastest mid-size is the Ranger. This is even more true at altitude.

Not surprised at all by the Ridgeline winning. Honda makes the best V6 of the bunch plus its probably the lightest.

Everyone should know that best power to weight ratio will win with good enough traction. But I am disappointed that the Nissan's time was recorded while spinning. The rest of the vehicles besides the Honda would be .3-.5 slower with good traction.
