You said that you can monitor what the cameras doing on your phone. Can the video footage be uploaded into your phone as well?

Can you hook it up directly to your phone and use it as a webcam? I know this may sound silly but I have a reason for this.

No. They can barely make it work as claimed now. Of course I had to buy mine.

Tactacam is junk. I used mine twice and after an update it shut down and won't turn on. After multiple attempts to contact customer service on the phone and 30 minute wait times I have yet to talk to a person. Multiple emails and you get a computer generated response that is worthless and eventually leads to to the same worthless customer service number. My two GoPro cameras have been trouble free since day one with better video quality and MUCH better color. Don't waste your time or hard earned money.

I bought a Solo camera based off of the Bone Collector review. Worst mistake ever. The thing has never worked. The app is junk and customer support is worse than useless. Try anything else but this junk.

It has taken a while and two more cameras but they have made good on mine. Without going into detail, I am very happy with the end results at this point, very, very happy. Looking forward to the upcoming season. I would suggest not ever updating the camera from the app, it works but gets complicated at times. If there are multiply devices near by, (cell phone, tablets or even other WiFi devices), this can pose some bugs that can be handled in android devices in their deeper settings. When trying to reach support, it is easier to sign up for their web sight and contact them this way. Quicker service, and no hour plus on hold as I had to do more than once. I will admit some customer service people are better than others, but for me it has been worth the effort. When you connect the app to the camera and change settings they will stay with the camera and must be changed in the app. You can't change these setting in the camera itself. Think zoom setting for example or video quality settings. One other suggestion, buy the best grade camera you can, it makes a big difference in quality of footage as well as fewer headaches.

@@snglshot See my response below. It can take a long time to get through on the phone. They may not like this, but if your not happy with the person you speak with ask for someone else. Some are better at explaining things than others.
