The game is just as fun as back in the day, plenty people playing normal public but also more serious players having (mix)wars daily.

@@EZzO444 Yup, but the strange thing is many time people from NA have said that to me, if you guys just go sit in the Miami TO3.4 server by Tandog (or any other NA server) on what should be "peak" activity time in your timezone, then i bet in a few days u can have some games going. Just join empty server, either ALT+Tab out of game, or make game windowed with F12 or ALT+Enter, go watch some youtube video and wait for players to join. You should be then able to hear in background if somebody joins server / types something in chat.

Never heard about TO? It started as a mod for UT99 then became its own standalone game. There are a few Monster servers for TO but no specific maps designed for the gametype unlike in UT99. But i think you can have some fun there ^^

Hi, yes i see when it is midnight in EU in TO3.5 there are many Chile servers populated. There is talk about TO3.4 servers going to 3.5, but i am unsure what future brings.

Hi, glad you found the download ^^ Keep in mind that while sometimes there are 100+ players online, there can also be quiet moments no players online, then try at a different time. There is also link to Discord channel in video description, a public chatroom with many TO players.

Most likely that mod is only compatible with TO version 3.4. Many mods/mutators are not compatible with TO3.5

True the player count is not what is used be like back in the day, but you should be able to find populated servers every day of the week. I also see some players in Monster servers every now and then.

@@homefront3162 If you are looking for maps i have been collecting TO maps over the past 5 years and build a file archive that is now online at tactical-ops.eu I think i also have some maps from AF clan, if you try this page tactical-ops.eu/custom-maps-list.php you can enter TO-AF as search filter. Would be awesome if you could take a look at your files to see if you might have some maps i don't have. (Or perhaps just send me all you can find as alternative). Sadly there is not that much interest in custom maps in 2020, although there are some who still release brand new maps. The portion of the community into that is rather small sadly. But if you are into mapping i am sure there are players who will appreciate new maps.

These days the only servers left on 3.1.9 are mostly filled with cheaters. I hear they play "hacker vs hacker" in there.. see who can cheat the "best". Best to play on 3.4 and 3.5 in 2020 as most players are on those versions.

Only thing quake 3 about this is the Hit Sounds when shooting / hitting an enemy

Type in console "showweaponinfo". You can type it multiple times, to get different display.

@@OldPhoenixx You can only use the command in the console when you are playing in a multiplayer server. And it will only show up when playing in server.

I made a dedicated LAN server to play with bots only but it still wont show up

@@OldPhoenixx That is because the server needs to be running the TOST (Tactical Ops Server Tools) addon and TOST Weapons addon for the command to work and the menu to show up. You can not have the menu displayed when you are playing in a practice session. So you can only enable it, and view the menu only when you are connected and playing on a online server.

Well in theory you could setup a lan server with a mutator called BotUnbalancer, it would allow you to play with multiple humans against 16+ bots depending on the map. You can crank up the difficulty giving the bots godlike aim but they are still stupid and walk clueless around the map.

On some versions of Belfast it plays Terrain.umx and others Mission.umx, you can listen to them at tactical-ops.eu/music-player.php
