No lull in my ‘74 gunfight. I had to reload my empty Colt Detective Special (I was a detective assigned to the Robbery Squad then) w/a speed loader and was back in the fight very quickly. Speed loaders were not authorized equipment in ‘74. We’d been trained to load two at a time from the lops on the duty belt. My EDC in retirement is a 340PD w/a speedstrip in my off pocket. Good video.

Thats not to say that there arent gunfights will lulls sprinkled throughout though. Great EDC gun! I run the M&P340 (no scandium cylinder so it can take any .357 loads) but I've been eyeing a 340PD too.

Fascinating. I would not have believed it was possible to quickly identify only the fired cartridges.

Thank you for making this. Ive carried the same reload,( 2 loaders, 1strip) for the same reasons for years.

Great video on the topic, thank you! Simple and very useful skills, this was easily the best video on the topic of speed strips I was looking for :)

Not what I was expecting, but was very surprised at the excellent tip.

Very cool to see this. The recent call of duty mw2 game does this with the model 500 revolver. The reload animations are very detailed and it’s cool to see what they’re based off in real life.

VERY INTERESTING & INFORMATIVE video - still have my off-duty weapon from my NJ LEO days - .38 Nickel Colt Detective Special. I have both the speed strips and the speed loaders, although the strips are easier to carry concealed as they are slim and trim.

In the winter, I usually pocket carry my Taurus 856 loaded with 125 gr .38 +P Hollowpoints I load myself and ITWB carry a Ruger Police Service Six loaded with 156 Gr Semi-Jacketed Soft Nose Hollow Points. I will have a Speed Loader in my jacket breast pocket and a couple speed strips in my jean pockets. When it comes to reloading, i have gotten to the point i don't care about retaining unfired rounds. It is get the empties out, load, and go. If one gun jams, go to the back up snubby

I use SKS clips for speed clip with 38 specials

All good revolver shooters, or us old guys that actually wore one on duty carried a speed strip for this purpose. Putting down deer, or any other reason you shot 1 or 2 rounds.
