refreshingly transparent cyclist. no riddles or games you see it when he rides and confirms it in interview. I would love for Mathieu and tadej as teammates so much mutual respect , and after 2022 you know a goal would be not necessarily yellow and green but yellow and stages. Tadej and mathieu have fun racing its great to watch. He wasnt having fun in intervoew granted lol lactate coming out his eyes

without a real climb in this tortuous circuit and substancially alone for all the laps between many champions so skilled in one day races, CX, bunch sprints, punchers is a super result without a specific preparation. Pogy still demonstrate that he is a total road rider.

Add bad weather these guys have even more advantage theyre incredible sean kelly was last that raced like these guys I think and that was almost 40 years. Such pleasure to have riders targeting these prestigious races and not just largest prize. Im sure it helps their marketability but thats coincidene to them they are just awesome.

This guy is LEGIT. He just destroyed himself in a one day two weeks after a brutal stage race. All of the last four standing did the same to some degree (Wout left a smidge early, not fighting for GC, but...). Prep for Worlds is now TDF! Crazy.

he was love tadej it wasn;t a race for GC style rider or climber although tadej is much more than that obviously but of GC guys remco and tadej have best shot on this F1 style course and remco even faded. Hoe he gains more fans even I think remco can be divisive but he didnt ride his while life like mads, tadej, wout, VDP so on such technical course its amazing how fast he learns. Still trying double too in ITT that deserves lots of respect. Always been fan/jealous of his talent :) becoming fan of him. Imagineif tadej had primoz, mohoric, and tratnijk on his team two monument winners GTwinner and world class ITT specialist. Its amazing tadej is just always in mix such a pure racer.

It’s amazing that he finished 3rd on a course like this. This kind of race doesn’t suit him or Jonas the most. It shows Tadej is the most complete rider in the world. He would destroy MVDP on hillier rides.

@@MarkTomeh he won flanders... amstel, fleche.... this parcous totally suits him as he's very explosive. dont make up excuses, i think tadej did some tactical mistakes because he was closing a lot of attacks and lost a lot of energy early on.

@@AndrezzSpideyzzz Almost all terrain suits Tadej. It’s a credit to the amazing bike rider be is. He was definitely capable of winning this but tougher mountain terrain suits him even more. If this course had a category 2 or higher climb he would’ve won. Yes he made some tactical mistakes for sure. Margin for error is smaller on this type of course where riders like MVDP, WVA thrive. Puncheurs and classics specialists and even sprinters do well on these courses.

Not enough sustained effort uphill for him to win against mvdp. Not to mention his lack of team today but that doesn’t seem to make a huge difference for him in general.

@@renevb196 Yes, it's meant in an ironic way. Some people are irritated/annoyed/jealous that Pog is able to win Classics as well as the TdF. I live in Slovenia and am the first to defend Tadej when people accuse him of doping. It is actually 'they' that say that he is a pure climber and that there is no way that he should be able to win Classics against the likes of MVP and WVA.

He was covering all the attacks the whole race. Even the commentators were surprised and were pointing that out. He had no teammates. Wout had 5 guys all the time around him. Last two laps he was done and he was still trying to attack all the climbs. That 3rd place was well deserved!

It is just a part of racing. Deal with it. Btw calling it freeweeling is funny to me. Like they didnt race 270km in one of the hardest races we saw in modern times.

@@renevb196 Pogacar attacked more while chasing down Bettiol and MVDP that much is true, since he took way fewer hard leads than the others. Pedersen attacked more throughout the stage though and more hard attacks. The stage being tough has nothing to do with freewheeling because the others didn’t sit over like him. It’s relative. It’s funny because when Vingegaard does it in the tour to Pogi he gets slandered but when it’s Pogi it’s just “smart tactics”
